In this Full Day PRIVATE Tour you will have the opportunity to visit some of the most amazing monuments and sites around Lisbon, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sintra with its Palaces and Castles, scenic beaches like Azenhas do Mar and Guincho, the coastal town of Cascais and the gardens of the Estoril Casino. You will also stop at the Westernmost point of mainland Europe (Cabo da Roca) for amazing photos.

Park and National Palace of Pena
We will start by visiting the Pena Palace before everyone arrives there. Tickets are not included as they offer different options such as Park and Gardens Only, Palace and Gardens and the Skip the Line ticket that only tour companies can buy. We will reach out to you to ask which one you prefer.
Sintra National Palace
One of the last Royal houses in Portugal, located in the center of Sintra. Here you will also be able to have a traditional pastry if you wish

5.00Our tour with David was outstanding from start to finish. His communication was excellent—prompt, clear, and attentive from booking through follow-up. He customized the itinerary to our preferences while also showing us hidden gems in Sintra and Cascais we would have otherwise missed. His recommendations for sightseeing and dining were spot-on, and his professionalism and flexibility made the day seamless and memorable. We highly recommend David and look forward to booking with him again.

5.00Great communication from the company well beforehand. They wanted to find out what sights we wanted to spend more time with because you can’t tour everything (multiple sites) in a day. They routed our itinerary with Belem at the end, where we asked to be dropped off because we were doing a sunset sailing cruise. Two other companies refused to alter their itinerary, even though this was a private tour. Guide/driver was wonderful. Excellent English, knowledgable, safe driver, clean comfortable car.
Short on time? Our guide helped us optimize the key attractions for the time we had.

5.00We took a private tour of Sintra with David, and this was one of the best tour experiences we’ve ever had! David’s passion for tourism and providing best-in-class service was apparent from our first contact through the end of the journey. He went above and beyond to ensure that we had a thoroughly enjoyable time, providing the perfect mix of historical information, cultural experience, and fun throughout the day. I appreciate that he tailored the itinerary to the things that we most wanted to see and made sure we were able to fit in all of those elements. As a local expert, he was able to guide us to the best spots for viewing, touring, dining, and shopping, while avoiding long lines and waits at the more popular attractions. 5.00My husband and I took the Private Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca and Cascais Full Day tour with David. It was an absolutely awesome day! David picked us up at our hotel in a roomy sedan (van also available if needed) and drove us to Sintra. He is so knowledgable about the area (he lives in Sintra) and the culture and history of Portugal. We started with the Pena Palace, and David, as a tour guide, is able to get skip the line tickets, so we were the first to enter the palace. Impossible to describe, but a beautiful and interesting place. David also tailored our tour: it was a rainy day, and we decided we'd rather not walk around the gardens of the Quinta da Regaleira in the rain, so we pivoted to the National Palace, which was really interesting, especially the kitchens and the Coat-of-Arms-Room. He took us to a wonderful bakery where we tried travesseiro, the pastry of Sintra. So delicious! From there we headed over to the coast, with David pointing out other interesting sites along the way. We had lunch near Azenhas do Mar (cliffside town-what a view) at a family restaurant, very good and reasonably priced. Last stops were Cabo da Roca, which has a beautiful ocean view at the western-most point of Europe (David knew the spots for the best photos) and Cascais, a beachside town. We then headed back to Lisbon. When we return to Portugal, we will certainly ask David to guide us. Highly recommend David and the What to do in Portugal tour company!

5.00We had a fantastic experience with Daniel on our full day trip to Sintra and Caiscais. Daniel was so kind and knowledgeable about the region and its history. He picked us up from our hotel in Lisbon, then took us to Caiscais and Cabo do Roca, then to Sintra for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant complete with local pastries that he supplied, then to Quinta do Regaleira and Pena Palace. The weather was a little rainy, so he adjusted the schedule of our tour to let us see the most without getting too wet, and of course provided umbrellas. Highly recommend Daniel and this tour company!

5.00Highly recommend this tour! Diana, our guide was so knowledgeable and explained everything so well! We were so glad we took this tour! We saw so many sights. Our photos were incredible with the amazing views! Loved how Diana tailored our tour to our preferences. This was one the best tours we’ve taken.

5.00Pedro was an amazing guide. He catered the day to us and our interests. He took us to food places that are favored by locals. (The food/drinks were delish) ... He allowed us time to roam around each area at our own pace and at the end of the day he hiked back up the hill on his own to retrieve the vehicle; while we enjoyed a glass of wine and waited. At his suggestion, we ended up getting to experience an area that was not originally on the agenda but def worth it. By the time he was done with us, we were ready to pack our bags and move to Cascais :-)

5.00After another tour operator canceled on us at the last minute we scheduled a day trip to Sintra with David and it couldn’t have been better. He worked with us to set up an itinerary and we saw everything we wanted to and then some. Comfortable transportation, easy conversation, and insights and information about the beautiful surroundings of Lisbon. Couldn’t recommend anyone else over this tour operator.
