This is a must-do in Ho Chi Min. We not only tried 10 different foods but we got to see most of them being made. Our guide Vejo explained what we were eating and had items adjusted according to our tastes. We walked most of the tour, in the rain and still had a great time. Vejo was great to talk to and very knowledgeable. He is a lovely young man.

Tonight we had the wonderful opportunity to meet Catherine, who was our private tour guide with The Street Food Man. From the moment we started walking through the lively streets of Ho Chi Minh City, she made us feel like locals. We visited five authentic local restaurants, tasting dish after dish of incredible Vietnamese food. Every bite was delicious, and although we ate far too much, it was nearly impossible to stop! What made the evening truly memorable was Catherine herself. She entertained us with her deep knowledge of local customs, food culture, and Vietnamese life, all delivered with warmth and a great sense of humor. Walking the streets with her felt like being out with a friend who just happened to know everything about the city. This was a fantastic experience — delicious food, great company, and insights you simply can’t get on your own. We would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh.

Appreciate our guide Eugene's very knowledgeable grasp of the food and even provided a glimpse into Vietnamese culture that's not just food-related. As we're from the Philippines, he was even familiar with our term for duck embryo - balut - and he purchased one for me to try with the traditional Vietnamese seasoning, which was excellent. Food was great in all places we tried. We felt very safe crossing the streets and as regular tourists we definitely would not have been able to do the itinerary on our own. A great tour to familiarize ourselves with Vietnamese food outside of the usual pho.
