Your local street food guide, who has a huge passion with Vietnamese street food will pick you up at your hotel by taxi then leave the tourist area behind and start your food adventure to non-tourist district, a street food paradise, while tasting ‘Banh Xeo” and “Banh Khot” – The Central, and South’s rice pancake with a lot of fresh Vietnamese vegetables. Stroll along a street known for its barbecue seafood vendors and head to a local-favorite restaurant to taste the best "bo la lot" (beef in wild betel leaves) or "banh canh Trang Bang"- special pork noodle soup or thick noodles soup with codfish pie which is the speciality from Street Food Man Vinny’s village. Your immersion in mouth-watering food continues as you head to the alleys of food in the heart of street food district and sample a tasty “bot chien", Pan - fried rice cakes with egg and spring onions which is cooked by a local chef with over 25 years experience and then quench your thirst with a sugar cane juice mixed with a little orange. Next up on your food adventure is Banh Mi - Saigon Baguette. You will experience the perfect fusion of 4 delicious flavors just after the first bite. Walk into the heart of district 3 and discover the old apartments has the name Nguyen Thien Thuat, which is home to dozens of famous Vietnamese street food that will tempt your stomach. On the corner of Seafood alley, you will sit like the locals, and get munching, crunching, sipping and slurping BBQ seafood (if you are allergic to seafood, it will be replaced by BBQ meat). Have local drinks with Saigon special beer or soft drink, mineral water and homemade Vietnamese rice wine. Cap off your Saigon street food walking tour at the night flower market by enjoying an amazing dessert which is coconut ice cream, longan ice cream or flan cake with caramel and coffee. 5.00I had the most amazing time, Vejo and Albert were the absolute best guides- they felt like our friends instantly. They were so fun, supportive with nervous eaters and informative about not just food but the history of the districts and Vietnam. I couldn’t recommend this with these guys more. The best experience!!

5.00My multi-generational family took a tour last night with Catherine and Minzy and had a wonderful time. They were so sweet and knowledgeable. We made 6 stops and were stuffed by the end. Like most reviews, these were stops that we never would have known to make on our own. We love food tours while traveling and this one was a winner. Their English was very good, especially Catherine’s and Minzy kept my 79yo dad from getting run over by traffic on more than one occasion. Both ladies were engaging to my elderly parents, us and our 2 kids, age 10 and 13. Highly recommend a tour with Catherine and Minzy.

5.00We had a fantastic experience wandering with Lucy through the very interesting food market streets of HCMC, stopping at small restaurants and food stalls to taste quintessential southern Vietnamese food. Lucy was knowledgeable and friendly, discussing food history and culture, as well as general information on HCMC and Vietnam’s society and history. We highly recommend this tour for those interested in food culture.

5.00We had the best time with our guide, Khuong also known as Aaron. He took us to great places we never would have found on our own. He was also a wealth of knowledge and explained a lot about Vietnam in general as well as the food we were experiencing. I would love to go on another tour with him.

5.00The tour was really fantastic, introducing us to a huge range of different delicious dishes. We were picked up from our hotel by Anna, our guide, and took a taxi to the first food stop. We then walked to 5 or 6 different places through fascinating back streets and got to see some of the non-touristy parts of Saigon. Anna was an awesome host - really knowledgeable, fun and passionate about Vietnamese food. She also gave us really interesting info about life in the city and helped with our pronunciation of some of the Vietnamese words we are trying to learn. Highly recommended. Would do it again tomorrow!
