Your local street food guide, who has a huge passion with Vietnamese street food will pick you up at your hotel by taxi then leave the tourist area behind and start your food adventure to non-tourist district, a street food paradise, while tasting ‘Banh Xeo” and “Banh Khot” – The Central, and South’s rice pancake with a lot of fresh Vietnamese vegetables. Stroll along a street known for its barbecue seafood vendors and head to a local-favorite restaurant to taste the best "bo la lot" (beef in wild betel leaves) or "banh canh Trang Bang"- special pork noodle soup or thick noodles soup with codfish pie which is the speciality from Street Food Man Vinny’s village. Your immersion in mouth-watering food continues as you head to the alleys of food in the heart of street food district and sample a tasty “bot chien", Pan - fried rice cakes with egg and spring onions which is cooked by a local chef with over 25 years experience and then quench your thirst with a sugar cane juice mixed with a little orange. Next up on your food adventure is Banh Mi - Saigon Baguette. You will experience the perfect fusion of 4 delicious flavors just after the first bite. Walk into the heart of district 3 and discover the old apartments has the name Nguyen Thien Thuat, which is home to dozens of famous Vietnamese street food that will tempt your stomach. On the corner of Seafood alley, you will sit like the locals, and get munching, crunching, sipping and slurping BBQ seafood (if you are allergic to seafood, it will be replaced by BBQ meat). Have local drinks with Saigon special beer or soft drink, mineral water and homemade Vietnamese rice wine. Cap off your Saigon street food walking tour at the night flower market by enjoying an amazing dessert which is coconut ice cream, longan ice cream or flan cake with caramel and coffee. 5.00Vejo was our tour guide for this food tour. It was a great experience especially for our first night ever in Vietnam. During the tour he showed us how to navigate local traffic, which came in handy for the rest of our trip. He introduced us to amazing food that we would have never found if we were on our own. He showed us how to properly eat each item, and ensured all food was within our dietary restrictions.

At seven stations we were allowed to try the local cuisine, including a delicious dessert. This culinary journey offered us a unique insight into life in Vietnam. Simply top!

5.00It was a pleasant experience and we fell we experienced the best of the best street food dishes. Prior to the tour we had clear communication with tour operator. Vinny introduced us to our tour guide Lucy who was charming and English speaking. Lucy was a delight and greeted us warmly. She thought ahead and we never waited for taxi or being seated to eat. She was situationally aware of us and our surroundings and protected us during the crazy street crossings lol. We were a bit jet lagged and she kept us moving and expedited the tour to fit our time. All the choices were delicious and well portioned. Even a Michelin rated vendor. We felt safe eating the local food and enjoyed the excitement of the culture. We highly recommend this tour and especially Lucy. We Love Lucy!

5.00My partner and I had a great time on the walking tour with Minzy. It was a good call opting for the walking tour because we needed to digest all that we were eating! Street Food Man took care to confirm and accommodate our dietary restrictions which was thoughtful. All of the food was tasty but the highlights were the bánh khọt and bột chiên. It was surprising to see just how many herbs were included in some of the dishes. Besides the food, we had great conversation with Minzy, learning about history and culture. Overall, it was a delightful experience.

5.00Khuong (Aaron) gave 150% on our food walking tour last evening! Using a car 3 times and walking the small alleys, we visited 8 places and tried several dishes at most around Saigon, and walkeed away feeling that we had experienced so much more than just food. It was everything and more than we had hoped to see and learn. His English was excellent and he taught us about food, culture, the people, and the surrounding area. And when all was said and done, he gave us a short list of common Vietnamese words and provided the correct pronunciation, We then visited the flower market where he bought us a Lotus flower and taught us how to fold the leaves and open the flower. The entire night was so much fun!
