The town is one of the oldest permanent settlements in Bosnia and Herzegovina , dating back almost 4000 years; the city in its current incarnation arising as an important town in the late 14th century.
Old Bridge Area of the Old City of Mostar
Mostar is situated on the Neretva River and is the third-largest city in the country. Mostar was named after the bridge keepers (mostari) who in the medieval times guarded the Stari Most (Old Bridge) over the Neretva. The Old Bridge, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century, is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's most visited landmarks, and is considered an exemplary piece of Islamic architecture in the Balkans.

5.00We booked this private tour, our tour guide was Muki. We had a fantastic day trip seeing all the sights. Muki was excellent and shared so much history and knowledge about Bosnia - he was very friendly and helpful. Mostar was amazing as were the waterfalls and the other stops along the way. Would highly recommend! ⭐️👍

5.00We had our tour with Muki. He was a great tour guide and very patient and flexible. Mostar your was incredible and well worth it. Only thing to note is that Mostar is atleast 10 degrees hotter than sarajevo. We went at the height of summer where it was 40 degrees. Other than that everything was wonderful and would recommend!

5.00We did the full day Mostar tour with Mak and what an amazing experience. First of all it’s a small group and hence you don’t waste time. Then Mak knows exactly how to beat the traffic and the crowd, took some amazing photos, gave us so much information about the history and crowned our experience with a delicious traditional roast lamb lunch on a table with a superb view of the river valley. We also had the freshest pomegranate juice and dried fruit in Pocitelj. Thank you Mak for sharing your beautiful country with us.

5.00Mak, informed us on the tours Roses of Sarajevo & Sunny Mostar full-time tour very professionally and extensively about the culture, the war happenings and the history of Sarajevo. We loved the highlights and the beautiful nature. Mak is very friendly & uncomplicated, so we enjoyed the tours incredibly. Really highly recommended. 😊 Sarajevo is incredibly nice to visit. And with Mak and his team, no detail to spoil.

5.00My and my daughter had 2 tours with Bakir Becirbegovic and we were really well taken care of. The tours were very informative and in between the stops we had a lot of engaging and interesting conversations about all kinds of subjects. We learned a lot! Bakir Becirbegovic is a very openminded and not stuck in past grievances and with people like him there is actually some hope for this very complicated country. I recommend any visitor to Sarajevo to use Art & Tours for guidance. It's absolutely worth it.

5.00Once more, if I had a chance to rate guide Mik from Arts&Tours, I’d rate 6-Star!! Amazing experience, loads of knowledge from an expert guide with history, geography and international relations background. Besides the guide speaks perfect English and French. Do recommend. Don’t miss it!

5.00It was a real privilege being able to see so many beautiful locations and to learn the rich history from a tour guide who has as much passion as Mak. Hearing about and seeing these places was truly an experience and I look forward to doing more tours in the future with this company.

5.00We booked this tour for 30/09 and Mak was our guide. It was an incredible day of touring most beautiful places and learning most interesting facts about history. Mak was fountain of knowledge, extremly polite and professional deserving of the highest praise. Most highly recommended.

5.00Our Guide Aid is a great person. We got along well from the beginning. And I had the feeling I've known him forever. The Tour was great and Aid gave a lot of information to us. To all questions that we had Aid gave us very good and informativ explanations. Aid knows all good places to go or to stop to become the best feeling or to take the best photo. I recommend Aid and hope to see him again.
