  The absolute best experience! We had two younger children and they were amazing to work with. We all got up on the boards and the instructors were very patient and helpful with all instructions. It was a beautiful day and a memory we will cherish for years to come (seriously wish I had a photo of my son for you all to see the big grin on his face when he got up the first time!!). Thanks for a great day and a great first time surfing!!

  Had the best time learning to surf with Kane he was amazing a true Hawaiian waterman and expert surfer If you want to learn to surf on your first outing and get up on your board quick this is the place to go So professional courteous and knowledgeable he read the waves like someone in a movie and he put us on the perfect wave each time They will set you up at your own pace and move you around on the waves based on how you are doing so you get the most from your experience the better you do the bigger the wave No need to look any further book your lesson with them and you will not be disappointed

  A great day of surfing! They booked us last minute and took out a bunch of kids with mixed skill. Kala did a great job. Everyone had a lot of fun and grew their skills. We would definitely work with them again!

  Amazing surf experience! Surfed Chun’s and Puaena pt. alongside honu and anuenue. Kala, Kekai, Kane, Nakoa and all the instructors are excellent, knowledgeable watermen who really know the North Shore waves and breaks. They put safety and fun first while helping you learn and improve. Les recomiendo esta escuela de surf 🏄🏽‍♀️ 🌊 🤙🏽!!!

  ⸻ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our family had an amazing surf lesson with Kala—hands down the best surf lesson we’ve ever had in Hawaii. We’ve taken lessons on past visits, but this experience was on a completely different level. Kala was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging, and did an outstanding job tailoring the lesson to each family member’s ability. From safety and ocean awareness to technique and confidence, everything was explained clearly and calmly, which made a huge difference—especially for first-timers. Everyone in our group was standing up and riding waves, and more importantly, having an absolute blast. Kala’s positive energy, professionalism, and genuine love for teaching really stood out. It felt fun, safe, and confidence-building the entire time. If you’re considering a surf lesson in Hawaii, do yourself a favor and book with Kala. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again and will absolutely recommend Kala to friends and family.

  My four kids (Ages 10-19) loved their surf lesson. They were all up and surfing within minutes of getting in the water with Anton’s instruction. Even though there were big waves that day, they found a great safe area of the beach. I highly recommend.

  This was an amazing surf lesson — highly recommend! It was me and my two kids and the instructor was great with all of us. Helping us paddle out and making sure we got some great waves. My kids LOVED it and are now aspiring surfers. Highly highly recommend!

  Had a great time with James. He helped the 3 of us ride the best waves in the world on the north shore. By the end of the class I felt I had the basics of surfing and was riding the waves as far as I wanted. 🤙

  great learning experience! our instructor was very nice and helpful and he made sure we got the most out of our time. all three of us caught many waves with help from our instructor.

  I had a great experience with North Shore Oahu Surf School. Our instructor helped us get out and surf some good waves, and gave us recommendations on places to eat afterwards. Would book again!
