Do you want to try a new discipline, experience new sensations and / or push your limits in an exceptional setting?

Go ahead, surfing in the Basque Country is made for you!

For better success for my students, I opted for a private lesson format of one to five people, which can then be suitable for a family, couples and / or groups of friends.

The places and times of the courses are determined "the day before for the next day" according to the sea conditions, the tides and the level of the students.

You will therefore have the opportunity to surf on various beaches from Bidart to Hendaye and discover new settings.

For your safety and your learning, I will always be present in the water with you and help you with practical and technical advice to accomplish your goals.

The equipment is fully provided, you just have to bring your swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and your motivation!

Introductory courses, from the age of 6 for children, range from the total discovery of the discipline to occasional seasonal practice. Great private surf lessons with Etienne. Our 7 and 11 year olds had a great time learning to surf. Our boys loved it and learned so much! Recommend the private experience especially with kids or beginners you will get so much more out of it!

Disappointing afternoon

Unfortunately the lesson never happened. Although confirmed in the evening. We waited at the agreed time and spot. No one came or called us concerning these changes. Very disappointing as our afternoon was ruined and we were very excited about it. One afternoon of three in Biarritz we will not get back. 😔 After complaining to Viator we got our money back swiftly. But that’s not the point. We were looking forward to the experience.

For a beginner who had never surfed, I took 3 private lessons with Etienne during the same week. He is a very good coach who knows how to explain the basics so that he can quickly have fun and evolve on the waves. He is super friendly, attentive and passionate:) It was really great and I will be back as soon as possible!

Etienne Was a wonderful instructor and the experience was excellent. Just be warned that Bidart is about a 15 minute drive from BIARRITZ so if you don’t have a car, it’s a hassle and an expense!

He’s a great teacher, when we arrived we didn’t know how to surf and every day we evolved and at the end of the week we managed to surf well. It was superb, I loved thank you very much Etienne. Alice 11.
