5.00Chiara was delightful to spend an afternoon with and tailored our tour to our interests, adding insight about Japanese culture along the way. We enjoyed a couple of treats that we would never have stumbled across on our own as well.
The perfect introduction to Tokyo

5.00We had a brilliant guided city tour with Kay on our first full day in Tokyo. It was our first visit to Japan and we were staying in Shinjuku, and we hadn’t even attempted the subway yet as it felt very overwhelming. Kay very kindly offered to meet us at our hotel rather than a nearby station and showed us how to use the subway system. He was fantastic at explaining everything, including how to download passes onto our Apple Wallets and how the different subway lines work. This made getting around for the rest of our trip so much easier and gave us the confidence to use the subway several times a day. Kay planned a great half-day tour and took us to places he thought we’d enjoy, including Meiji Jingu Shrine, the war memorial shrine and park connected to the Imperial family, Electric Town in Akihabara, and Harajuku with its lovely shopping streets. We covered a lot in a short time without it ever feeling rushed. Kay was super friendly, very knowledgeable, and made the tour thoroughly enjoyable. I was genuinely sad to say goodbye at the end. Thanks to Kay, the rest of our stay in Tokyo was so much easier and more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

5.00Our guide, Shoko, was AWESOME!!! She was highly communicative before our tour in order to prepare a tour around exactly what we wanted to see. We got to see lots of places off the beaten path!! Even after the tour was over she put together other places for us to visit and restaurants for us to try!! I highly recommend putting your time in Shoko's hands!!!

5.00Chiara was a joy! She was patient, and extremely flexible!!! She was also kind! I was having some pain, and she was understanding when I made requests to sit down, numerous times! She has an obvious command of the city, with all its subdivisions! She is also extremely knowledgeable with regard to Japanese culture! At the end of the tour,, she waited with me, until my Uber arrived! Hope to see her on the next trip!!

The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and could answer every one of our obscure questions about history, art, language, and philosophy. I cannot recommend this tour enough. I do sometimes write negative reviews (see my profile), so please trust me when I say that this is just an amazing tour!!

5.00Justine was so sweet! She had a lot of information about Tokyo and its history. She made me feel very comfortable as someone who has never been here before and explained everything very thoroughly. Honestly, it felt like I was just chatting away with a friend! That’s the comfort you want to feel when you’re somewhere new, completely by yourself. I didn’t really have an itinerary of things to do and didn’t even see Justine’s email of her wanting to set up one 😆 she chose great places that really made me get out there! Would definitely tour with her again.

5.00Tomo was an excellent tour guide for our family on our first day in Tokyo. She contacted us beforehand to see what was important to us. We wanted to visit some of the traditional tourist sites as well as some of the more local out of the way sites and she planned this all for us. Also she came to our hotel to collect us, she assisted us to buy our IC card and showed us how to navigate the trains. On top of that she gave recommendations for dinner that evening.

5.00Amir our guide arrived on time and took us on a tour that matched our interests. Fish market, gardens , temples and food markets. Amir is very knowledgeable about Japan and Tokyo city. Having spent 4 years working here he was very passionate about what Tokyo can offer . He explained in detail how Japanese people live and work and how friendly and respectful live in Tokyo is . He can tailor your trip to your desires and fill your day with he knowledge. Amir will do his best to make your tour a special day.

5.00Loved our 4 hour tour with Megumi aka Meggy! Such a delightful, informative guide, who took our family of 7 to Meiji Jingu for New Years good fortune and then through crazy busy areas of Tokyo . Our kids loved all of the sights, esp our Ramen lunch which she arranged. Best of the many ramen meals we ate. She was so gracious and related easily and well w our various personalities. Definitely worth the time and money. as not sure we would have seen all of the sights on our own.
