Get a taste and feel of Bergen with a litte extra on this 4-hour city sightseeing tour run by a professional driver-guide in a comfortable car. We will be stopping at the main sights in the centre of Bergen. We will also visit some of the sights and museums located outside city centre.

There are 4 options that you can choose from. Please, see the tour delails.

Car on this tour is one of our Mercedes minivans. When only 3 people are going on this tour, we may use our Tesla Model X. All of our cars have Passenger Transport Licence. For a more extensive introduction to our beautiful town, please, check out the 5-hour tour option.

Mount Floyen and the Funicular

Your private English speaking driver-guide picks you up at your hotel in Bergen centre and your tour begins. First part of the excursion gives you an introduction to Bergen’s centre: we start this tour off with a funicular ride to Mount Fløyen (1050 feet ASL / 320 meters ASL) to literally have an overview of the city's centre.

After the funicular we go on an excursion drive to the main sights, like the medieval Bergenhus fortress, Bryggen embankment, the Hanseatic quarters, the Fish market, the National Theatre, which are all located in the centre of Bergen and are worth stopping by and learning their history. On the second part of this tour, you have several options to choose from, depending on your interests and preferences. During a 4-hour tour we can offer following choices:

Our guide Vlad was fantastic! Picked our group of 4 up from the cruise ship promptly. Very knowledgeable about sights and history of Bergen. Very comfortable Mercedes Van. Highly recommend!

Vlad took us on a private tour for 4 hours with 2 friends. It was fabulous! We went to many fascinating places and Vlad gave us thorough explanations that added to the enjoyment of what we were seeing. Unfortunately, we toured on a Monday and several museums were closed but we went anyway and made a few tours from the exterior for free with valuable background information from Vlad. (Edvard Grieg’s home and the Gamle Bergen Museum, for example) We would gladly tour with Vlad again. He was personable, friendly, energetic, and so very knowledgeable! He gladly took many photos of us at several sites as well! Dana, July 2025

Excellent tour! Vlad picked us up at the cruise terminal and drove us around Bergen while sharing his knowledge with us. This tour is a great option and covers many key spots around Bergen. At the end we asked Vlad to drop us off at the historic shops and we walked back to the ship.

We had a 4 hour private city tour with Vlad. He was on time and in a nice Mercedes Benz van. Vlad was very knowledgeable about Bergen and showed us many interesting sites. He even took our pictures at several places. I highly recommend Vlad for your city tour of Bergen!!

We spent over four hours with Vlad exploring Bergen including great spots off the beaten path. Vlad was amazing!!! He has a passion for history and Norwegian culture and as a long time resident of Bergen knew everything about the city. We absolutely loved our tour I would highly recommend Vlad!!

Vlad is very knowledgable. He willingly adjusted the schedule based on our tastes and what he had already seen and experienced. Being in a car gives you a lot of less visited places that the usual busy tourist spots. Thanks
