Lake Vouliagmeni
Lake Vouliagmeni, in the heart of the Athenian Riviera, is the hidden treasure of Attica’s nature. Situated on an idyllic landscape, this rare geological phenomenon is waiting to be discovered. The lake’s brackish waters which are continuously replenished both by the sea and the underground thermal springs offer a natural and unique thermal spa experience.
Temple of Poseidon
Majestic Cape Sounion, a strategic point rising above the Aegean sea about 70 kilometers away from Athens in the southern region of Attica, was known by Ancient Greeks as the “Sacred Cape.” On top of this 60 meter cliff stands one of the most important sanctuaries in the region: the temple dedicated to Poseidon, God of the Sea. Built between 444 and 440 BC, the temple was constructed of marble from the valley of Agrilesa, about four kilometers north of the Sounio Cape. The architect is thought to be Ictinus (or Iktinos), who built the Temple of Hephaestus in the Ancient agora in Athens. He built the 16 columns at the Temple of Poseidon in a way that ensured they would stand the test of time and resist the harshness of the environment, and made the Doric columns more slender at the top so they would look taller.

5.00We had an amazing road trip experience in Attica that exceeded all our expectations. The route was perfectly planned, starting with a beautiful coastal drive, followed by a relaxing stop at Lake Vouliagmeni. We then enjoyed a delicious meal in Palaia Fokaia before ending the day with a breathtaking sunset at the Temple of Poseidon. The service itself was excellent, offering a smooth, comfortable, and well-paced experience that allowed us to fully enjoy each stop without any stress. Everything felt thoughtfully planned, making it easy to relax and take in the surroundings. Our driver, Dimitris, was truly exceptional. He was professional and friendly, providing helpful tips about our stay in Greece. His van was clean and comfortable, adding to the overall quality of the trip. Overall, this was an outstanding experience that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for such a wonderful day!

5.00This tour was very well worth the drive. The drive is about 45 minutes - 1 hour from the center of Athens but the view on the way is wonderful. Dimitrois filled us in on things along the way. We stopped to eat at a local place - KYMA. Very good food with a view of the water. The Temple is a short walk from the parking lot and lots of areas to stand or sit to watch the sunset and take photos.

5.00We couldn't have picked a more accommodating person to drive us to the beautiful coastline of Athens. We also went to dinner at Kyma. Dimitrius ordered a variety of delicious foods. We had the best time. Then we went to see the sunset at Lavriotiki. It was gorgeous!! Dimitrios picked us up at the main building so we didn't have to walk so far. I would definitely recommend Dimitrius Nitsolas!!

5.00Dimitris was amazing! Picked us up at the airport as planned and not only got us to where we were staying but was fun and offered suggestions along the way. Because he was so excellent we ended up taking a private ride to Poseidon’s Temple a couple evenings later. On our return back to Athens at the end of the trip he picked us up at the airport again, took us to our stay and took us to a highly recommended restaurant. He far exceeded our family’s expectations and made our travel much easier and more enjoyable in his Mercedes van.

5.00Stelios’s tour of the southern coast of Athens to the Temple of Poseidon was awesome. We had a bonus lunch with Stelios at a great restaurant on the way back to Athens city center. We also had Stelios’s service to go to the cruise terminal and to and from the airport. He was very professional and really enjoys what he does. I would recommend him to anyone traveling to the Athens area.

5.00My husband and I loved this experience! We did not rent a car while staying in Atnens so this was a great way to see the coast and the Temple of Poseidon. Our guide, Stelios, was so kind and told us a lot about the area. We also stopped for a seafood dinner that was incredible. The Temple of Poseidon is definitely a must see. The sunset and views are incredible at this archeological site! I highly recommend this tour!

5.00Great service recieved from Dimitris. He picked us from the airport (both ways) and sorted out our tour for two days. We enjoyed our two days of site seeing and tasting authentic Greek cuisine. We would highly recommend and book again for another trip. Cherry on top he is very very funny so the whole tour is full of good laughs while learning the history of Greece.
