The Taj Mahal is cynosure of Indian tourism, constructed by Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. The original tomb of Shah Jahan’s begum Mumtaz is in the Burhanpur district of Madhya Pradesh, 493 miles away from agra . She died in 1631 while giving birth to her 14th child, a daughter named GauharAra Begum, in Burhanpur. Actually, Shah Jahan went to Burhanpur to suppress the rebellion of Lodhi, At that time Mumtaz was pregnant and even though she escorted her husband to Burhanpur. Shah Jahan had three wives and his favourite one was Begum Mumtaz who had been the mother of 14 of his 16 children. Shajahan after ascending throne assigned Arjumand the title of Mumtaz Mahal. One day he swore by placing his hand on Mumtaz's grave at Burhanpur that he would build a tomb in her memory that would not be equal to any other in the world. It was to her loving memory that the Taj Mahal was constructed on the bank of river Yamuna. The Tour guide will show you nice locations for photography.

Agra Fort

Agra Fort was primarily constructed solely as a military establishment for the Mughal army by third Mughal ruler Akbar, who declared Agra as the capital of the Mughal empire, but later some of its parts was improvised into a Royal residence. Agra Fort is 2.5 km approximately from the Taj Mahal and was designated a world heritage site in 1983 when a team of UNESCO visited it and inducted it into a list of global heritage sites. There are four gates for accessing inside Agra Fort but now there is only one active gate for entry of tourists. The four main gates are Amar Singh Gate (formerly known as Akbar Darwaza or Lahore Gate, facing south and renamed by Shah Jahan), Delhi Gate (original entrance and facing west), Water Gate (also called Khizri Gate, facing river Yamuna), and Ghazni Gate. The Agra Fort is gigantic, confined in an area of 94 acres, surrounded by double walls of red sandstone, 21 metres in height and have a circumference of 2.5 km. Both walls are seperated with water moat.

Awesome experience! Tour guide was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot about the architecture and the history of the Taj Mahal!
We did a tour of the Taj Mahal and red fort then to Mehtab Bagh across the Yamuna river for a sunset view of the Taj.

I have been traveling in northern India for a few weeks and Tushar was by far the best guide I’ve had since arriving. He was knowledgeable but also loads of fun and interesting and interested. I cannot recommend him enough. Brilliant.

Our tour was fantastic and worry-free. Tushar, our tour guide, and Satyavir, our driver, were professional, punctual, and helpful. We took a weekend tour, arriving on Friday and leaving on Sunday. They took care of us from arrival to departure, including airport transfers. The vehicle, a very comfortable SUV, and the driver were available for any dinner plans or special places we wanted to visit. We visited the Taj Mahal on a Saturday morning. Despite the crowds, we accessed the Taj Mahal quickly and efficiently, skipping long lines and minimizing security delays by not having bags with us. Tushar is a great storyteller who narrated history in an engaging and fascinating way, making our visit meaningful and interesting. We also visited other sites like the Agra Fort, the Akbar Tomb, and the Baby Taj Mahal. Tushar had excellent recommendations for restaurants and places to buy marble inlay art. We all ended up buying beautiful original pieces to bring back as memories of India. We loved the service so much that we plan to take other trips with Tushar to other regions of India.

Tushar Sharma was the perfect guide on our one day tour of Agra. He made our tour thoroughly enjoyable for our adult family of four. I highly recommend this tour guide, in fact he was flawless. His knowledge matched his respectful and genuine approach to the tour. He made the tour flow seamlessly so we knew how to the beat the queues, accommodated our timing so we could stop for meal breaks, made great suggestions on restaurants and his knowledge of the Taj and Agra Fort was terrific. If you're planning a visit to Agra and want more than just a rushed, cookie-cutter tourist experience—then having the right guide can make all the difference. And this is exactly where Tushar Sharma shines. He’s not just good—he’s outstanding. We visited Agra on March 3rd and had the privilege of having Tushar as our guide, thanks to a glowing recommendation from the tour company organizing our Delhi-Agra trip. From the moment we finalized our plans, Tushar reached out via WhatsApp to introduce himself and coordinate the details. That early communication already showed how organized and thoughtful he is. The morning of our trip, Tushar sent a detailed message with clear instructions on where to meet—complete with a photo of the parking lot, the exact address, and even a live location pin. He also shared a copy of his ID and a recent picture so we could easily recognize him. It made the logistics seamless—we just forwarded everything to our driver, and locating him was effortless. Now, here’s where things really started to stand out. Tushar is fluent in English (and maybe even more languages—worth asking!), which was perfect for our group, as most of my group were non Indians. Communication was smooth, and every single person in our group felt included and comfortable throughout the day. Despite arriving in Agra about two hours later than planned (thanks to some unavoidable delays), Tushar didn’t let that affect our experience. He didn’t rush us, didn’t skip any sites, and didn’t use the delay as an excuse to cut corners. Instead, he adapted the plan on the fly, ensuring we still got to see everything on our itinerary—without feeling hurried or pressured. He expertly guided us through both the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort, using less crowded entrances that saved us valuable time—at both sites, we waited no more than 5 to 7 minutes to get in. Not once did he try to push us toward tourist traps or overpriced souvenir shops, which sadly is common with many guides. He stayed focused on us and our experience, tailoring the tour to our pace and interests. His knowledge of Agra’s history is impressive, but what truly makes it special is the way he shares it—through engaging stories that even our 10-year-old found captivating. It wasn’t just a list of dates and facts—it was storytelling that brought the monuments to life. And then there’s his local savvy. With limited time left in the day, he realized that trying to navigate Agra in our 40-seater bus would eat up precious time. So he came up with a brilliant workaround: for a small additional cost (about $30–$40 total), he arranged three tuk-tuks (auto rickshaws) so we could zip through the city and reach more sites in minutes instead of wasting an hour in traffic. Thanks to that call, we were able to explore additional monuments that we otherwise would’ve had to skip. He also gave us great local recommendations—like Salt Café, which turned out to be an excellent spot for lunch. In short, Tushar truly cares. He’s not just doing a job; he’s curating a memorable experience. He listens, adapts, solves problems, and ensures that your time in Agra is smooth, meaningful, and stress-free. His warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail make him more than just a tour guide—he’s a partner in your travel experience. Amazing experience with this company. Top notch communication and pricing. Our driver, Naval, was an expert and he coordinated our visits and various sights with local guides. The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. Our favorite spot was the Taj Mahal, but enjoyed learning about all of the other locations. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

The tour guide is excellent and affordable! They helped us in customizing a day tour around Agra city, showed local markets and food and even arranged a private car for the day. We toured in the month of March, which is not too crowded. We had plenty time to explore around, listen to information and take pictures. I would recommend this guide to anyone looking for a decent, informed and affordable tour guide in Agra!
