Our Private Hire High Adventure Tour is the perfect opportunity for small groups of friends or family to enjoy their very own Private Tour. Our luxury, spacious 16 Seater Mercedes will allow you to travel the Lake District in style.
Discover the beautiful sights of the Western Lake District on this adventurous full-day tour. Discover the magnificent scenery of the Lake District with its beautiful mountains and dramatic lakes.
Make your way over the Wrynose and Hardknott passes, the steepest passes in England we drive past the extraordinary remains of Hardknott Roman Fort.
Embark on the famous miniature Ravenglass and Eskdale railway before heading to a traditional country inn, where you may purchase lunch if you require. In the afternoon you will drive onward to “Britain’s Favourite View” at Wastwater, England’s deepest and most dramatic lake.

We suggest you wear comfortable and sensible footwear, we also recommend bringing a light raincoat.
This tour is a guided scenic mini-coach tour, but there are times when you will have the option to walk up to a few hundred metres to take in a view or point of interest.
You have the opportunity to purchase food & refreshments during the tour. During this tour we will stop either at a traditional Lakeland Pub or local caf

Infants and children are welcome on our private tours. Please let us know at the time of booking if you require an infant seat or booster seat. All children must have their own seat, you will not be able to travel if children and infants do not have their own seat.

5.00We had a lovely day celebrating a recent family occasion. Everything was really well organised from start to finish. Steve’s guided tour was brilliant – we got to enjoy the beautiful views and learn lots about the local area, including some great facts about the amazing Beatrix Potter! Many thanks to Sherri too, who picked us up and got us all the way back to Manchester after our steamboat ride at the end of the day. We’d happily do it all again!

5.00Have to say went on the high adventure tour today with Mark P has our tour guide what a fantastic experience it was indeed. Mark took us to all the beauty spots along the way to take photos and he was full of knowledge about the area telling us things along the way would highly recommend this trip to anyone who hasn't been on it money well spent cheers Mark for everything. 5.00The views ... the roads. So glad to give the driving to Derick over the Hardknott Pass. Plus my visit was during a three day rain and yet still worth it. But not just driving, the history with the stories about the area and places we visited. Unforgettable experience made so easy

5.00Great day out with The Mountain Goat Tour Company. Great driver Tony, took us over the Wrynose and Hardknott Passes, onto Muncaster for the flying bird display returning via Coniston Water. Lovey weather and Tony knew all the vantage points to admire the views. Highly recommended.

5.00I bring groups to paint and enjoy the culture in the Lake District from America. Shery was our driver for three days. She drove our painting group to lots of various places to paint, visit Dove Cottage, Allen House , Hill Top Farm and lots of other locations. Shery was a treasure trove of information of the area. Her dialogue enriched my students and everyone learned from her. We couldn’t have had a better experience. Thank you Shery!

5.00This is my 3rd time at Lake District and first time with my parents. I was in a doubt if they will be comfortable in these 2 long trips back to back. Luckily we've got a wonderful weather and our tour guide and driver Gerry was spectacular. He belongs to the same area and shared with us all sorts of information. He is a very skilled driver and took us through the high ridges very comfortably. His in-between jokes never made us bored through-out our trips. It was a complete experience with good weather, excellent scenic views and Gerry's knowledge about each and every corner of Lake District.

5.00Super private hire trip out today with Gerry on a revised High Adventure tour - basically all the high passes! Can’t comment on Wrynose as my eyes were closed most of the way 😂😂. Perfectly timed, we learned loads about the area and the roads and views were fantastic. Thank you for making it such a special day.

5.00Fantastic day from the moment Gerry picked us up, he was a great, friendly, knowledge guy. Made the day tour so much more memorable and even converted family into joining the National Trust. Great driving up Rhino and Hardnott Pass. Gerry had so much knowledge of Beatrix Potter things we never knew about her and how much she has done for the lake district and all the rest of the UK.
