Sabile Wine Mountain
During the drive to Kuldiga, you can observe the beauty of Latvian countryside and several small towns. One of the places we recommend to stop by is the town of Sabile. This small town is known for the variety of wines locally produced. Sabile Wine Hill has even been included in the Guinness World Record Book as the most northerly vineyard in the world. You will have the chance to taste cider and wines produced in Sabile.
Kuldiga Town Garden & Sculpture Park
Kuldiga is known for its well preserved historic wooden buildings from the 17th-18th century, narrow streets and romantic atmosphere. Historically, this town has been popular amongst many Latvian poets and painters as a place to seek inspiration. Although Kuldiga is getting more and more popular among tourists, it is still considered a great destination for people who want to escape “mass tourism”. Besides the previously mentioned, there are a lot of small, cosy shops and cafes all around the town.

5.00What a wonderful day! We started our tour visiting the beautiful town and beach at Jürmala, fascinating, and then we continue our visit in Kuldiga, a fabulous town with beautiful places to visit (we were lucky to find the Orthodox Church open). Close to the town hall, we recommend you check the story of the "luggage under the stairs", the Duke's pharmacy, and wander through the charming streets. Close to the town hall take a picture with Evalds Valters statue, look for the statue of Jacob Kettler that symbolizes a teleport, and eat an ice cream close to that place. And, of course, the famous waterfall. A wonderful city to visit!!! Thank you Tatjiana for making it a very special day.

5.00Edgars made this tour so memorable, the trip in the car was filled with information about everything and was perfectly engaging in conversations about his experiences too. The stop to jurmala was awesome and Kuldiga was simply spectacular. Lovely also the stop to the local bakery. This is a must do tour to anyone who cares to learn about Latvia and Edgars is the perfect guide. Super recommended!!!!

5.00This is a wonderful day trip option if u are interested in medieval architecture and history. The town is. Beautiful with old wooden houses and still streets with the old pavements.Our guide,Edgars, was fantastic. He spoke about the place, his country in general with so much passion and enthusiasm. His knowledge stretches beyond the places we visited. We learnt so much about the architecture of the place, history etc. I say, when in Riga, this is a must visit place.
