Citadel Fort Adelaide

Fort Adelaide (also known as La Citadelle) was built in a very strategic location on higher lands of Port Louis at 240 feet above sea level. The construction of Fort Adelaide started on 1832 and completed after almost ten years. Fort Adelaide offers a vast panorama on Port-Louis and its harbour. The British built this fortress in fear of a civil war from the remaining French settlers on the island and also for the purpose of guarding the harbor against enemy attacks. A ride uphill to Fort Adelaide, guarantee breathtaking view of Port Louis andof the mountain range surrounding Port Louis.

We booked Charles' company for three sightseeing trips to get to know wonderful Mauritius a bit better. All transfers and trips were wonderful - a clean, spacious vehicle for the six of us that was always on time, excellent service and expert knowledge commentary from Abdul who is, quite simply, one of the best and most courteous drivers we have ever encountered on our travels. We highly recommend this company to future visitors to the island.

Best service and they done everything on our time.would recommend 10/10. They took us to explore for 2 full days.
If you want to visit some uninhabited island , crystal waters and. Look out for dolphins and sea life it’s enjoyable

We visited FLAT ISLAND & GABRIELLE ISLAND ON THE VOOM VOOM CATAMARAN . Lovely day sailing , refreshments , music and time to snorkel .

Excellent Service Quality and outstanding speed to meet our needs. We communicated the desired duration as well as the places to visit, the driver was on time, he optimized our trip, he was very caring, offered us other things to see and try and the tour went very well. The taxi was in very good condition, clean, new, nothing to say! Everything went well and we are very happy and satisfied with our little getaway in the North of Mauritius 🇲🇺

Really impeccable Service!! Our Taxi Driver that we were lucky enough to have for all 3 days really prepared! Perfectly clean car, always on time, available and it was really a huge pleasure to meet Dave! Dave is a very kind, cultured man and we thank you so much because he was a really great travel companion! We learned so much from him who told us so many things about the places Thank you Dave :-)

Everything was perfect! We were fortunate to have Kevin as our driver, who was a guide for us and shared a lot on the island. He took us to places we didn’t even plan to see, and shared his culture with us. It was even with a pinch in our heart that we left him on the last day. If you have trips to make on the island to discover it I recommend you take them. Who knows, if one day we come back, we'll come back through you. Our best wishes to Kevin. While less of a tour per se than private transportation around the island, this was a great way to see the main sites efficiently and with a flexible itinerary. We visited the citadel, Le Caudan waterfront and market in Port Louis, Pampelousses botanical garden, Grand Baie and Cap Malheureux...a full day that didn't feel at all rushed.
