Olá! I’m Mariana, an official tour guide of Rio de Janeiro. This tour is a wonderful way to see all the magnificent sights and get to know the history and culture of our lovely city. I’d love to show you around so you can have the best memories of your trip.
Any tour can be personalized to meet your tastes! A typical tour looks like this:
Stop 1: Christ the Redeemer (Cristo Redentor) in Corcovado national park. Beat the crowds with an early trip to the world famous statue, situated in the world’s largest urban forest.
Stop 2: Selaron steps, a colourful mosaic landmark of Rio located in one of its most famous districts.
Stop 3: Historical centre of Rio de Janeiro, with monuments from all eras of Brazil’s history.
Stop 4: The Sugar Loaf. Beautiful views, pristine rainforest and even the occasional monkey!
Other options include visits to the Botanical gardens, the world-famous beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, Parque Laje, legendary football stadium Maracanã or the Sambadrome.

5.00My sister and I spent half a day touring with Mariana while visiting Rio. The tour was arranged through a third party travel agency in Australia. We both enjoyed discovering the Santa Teresa area with her. Very knowledgeable, friendly and tailored the tour somewhat to suit our needs. I enjoyed tasting the açai and riding on the tram. She dropped us off at Ipanema Beach as we had requested and recommended a lovely restaurant opposite the beach to enjoy lunch. Highly recommend!

5.00Mariana, she's simply the best! She was so accommodating, friendly, knowledgable, and sweet. She simply just gave the best introduction to Rio. It seems like she knows everyone in Rio too. She was also sweet enough to able to get tough to get tickets for a Flamengo game, and she also joined us. I don't think there's a bigger Flamengo fan in the world. She's a great ambassador for Brazil, Rio, and Flamengo. Do yourself a favor and just take the tour with her, I guarantee you will have a great time because Mari is the best, hands down!

5.00Mariana is a wonderful person and a superb guide. She is very good with making sure her guest’s needs are all catered for. We spent two different days with her and she made sure we not only saw the important sights, but also the lesser known areas that gives you a whole new perspective of this amazing city.

5.00What a wonderful and unforgettable day, simply perfect tour for those who do not yet know Rio and want to be enchanted by the city already on the first day... Thank you Rio Alegre Tour, especially our guide Mariana, super good people and knows mto the city, without words to describe the gratitude for everything, vcs are too!!! I brought my mother and my cousin to see the wonderful city and you were exceptional!!! My thanks to the whole team, Mr Renato “Douglas” our driver, staff who attended us initially, always very attentive, thank you really!!! Certainly, we will return and make new trips with you, are super indicated!!!

5.00I went on a tour with Mariana around Rio. It was great to join an existing group and Mariana did and excellent job introducing me. What I liked was that the tour came with an expert in local knowledge and history but was also packed with fun. I could satisfy my intrigue and also spend the whole time laughing. We went to all the major tourist attractions and also a few local spots where she had gained agreements to try local foods and see some local produce. her engagement with the group was a very high standard. She is as they say, born and bred Carioca!! Satisfaction guaranteed.
