In this guided tour, you will have the opportunity to explore nature, history and tradition of the region of Lasithi Plateau with it's 16 picturesque villages and Minoan civilization Knossos Palace.

We'll explore Old Windmills, Traditional Villages of Lasithi Plateau,Aposelemis Dam, 2400 years old Plane tree in Krasi village, an Olive Oil Factory, a Pottery,Olive Groves, will have a Greek Coffee in a traditional caffe and of course we'll have lunch in family taverna to taste some of the most iconic dishes of Crete.

In the end of the tour, we'll explore the most visited site in Crete, Knossos Palace.

Knossos Palace, is one of the most significant archaeological sites in Greece.

Visiting the Lasithi Plateau and Knossos Palace, offers a journey through time,history and nature, allowing travelers to experience the authentic charm and rich traditions of Crete.

A Truly Unforgettable Day in Crete with Spyros!

If you’re visiting Heraklion and want to experience the real Crete — beyond the tourist spots — this private tour with Spyros is an absolute must! Our day started with a visit to a local olive oil factory where we learned about the traditional process and tasted some of the freshest oil imaginable. From there, we took in some stunning scenic views and captured gorgeous photos of the Cretan countryside. Then came a delightful surprise: we picked fresh strawberries right from the field! Spyros didn’t just show us Crete — he shared it with us. He brought us to a charming local coffee house where we soaked in the atmosphere, then to a family-run pottery factory where we watched artisans at work. The highlight of the day, though, was visiting Spyros’ beautiful home. There, we enjoyed the strawberries we picked, served with real Greek yogurt and local wine — all while sitting in his lovely kitchen. To top it all off, Spyros gifted us a bottle of his own homemade olive oil, and later took us to a local taverna for an authentic Greek lunch of goat and moussaka that was absolutely delicious. We ended our tour visiting the stunning Knossos Palace. Spyros is warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about his island — this tour felt more like spending the day with a friend than a guide. One of the most memorable experiences of our entire trip. Highly recommend!

Realizing that there are two cruise ports in Crete and make sure that your ship is coming into the right on for the tour. Apparently they are 2 hours apart and the tour company doesn’t verify which port your ship is coming.

The tour was awesome. We had a great time. Our driver and tour guide Stavros was the best! He made this tour very unique with a personal attention to every participant. Guided by Stavros, we visited many interesting places, bought souvenirs, and enjoyed tasty foods and wine. Thank you, Stavros! We would highly recommend this tour!

Reetas was very fun, interesting, knowledgeable and informative. She showed us everything from amazing views, small towns, pottery shop and a local olive oil press! She explained all the interesting history as well as the Greek Mythology of the island. She also walked with us through and gave us all the history behind the amazing ruins of Knossos castle. The new Mercedes tour van was extremely comfortable riding in as well as getting in and out of it was a breeze! Dimitri was our driver and handled all the road situations we encountered with ease! The Taverna we stopped at for lunch was outstanding with true Greek dishes cooked in an outdoor oven with love and everything was extremely delicious! Not to mention with such an incredible view! We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and is a must do if you are in Crete! Highly, highly recommend!
