As part of a full-day tour of Tunis that includes lunch and round-trip transport from your hotel. You will visit four sites: Medina, La Goulette, Carthage and Sidi BouSaid.
The best way to explore the city of Tunis in depth is with its old Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Then set off to discover La Goulette, this suburban district is renowned for the perpetual animation that reigns in its streets. Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant.
After visiting this district, you will also have the chance to visit the ancient city of Carthage which has ancient monuments offering a superb view of the surrounding coast. After visiting this UNESCO heritage archaeological site, you will continue to Sidi Bou Saïd, a picturesque village in blue and white which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea.

Medina of Tunis
this sprawling labyrinth of ancient streets and alleys is one of the most impressive medieval medinas in North Africa and one of Tunisia's great treasures. It's home to many covered souks selling everything from shoes to shisha, as well as bustling cafes, alleys full of working artisans, and residential areas punctuated by large, brightly painted doors. Historic palaces, hammams, mosques and madrassas (schools for the study of the Koran) are scattered throughout, many are richly decorated with tiles, carved stucco and marble columns.

4.00Absolutely brilliant guide Bilal 5/5, so informative and saw some amazing places. He really new his stuff!!! He adjusted the tour based on the weather and responded to our specific requests to stop at shops or get olive oil. The transportation was very comfortable for our family of 3, it was 9 seater, new and modern, could leave stuff in the car when we got out for stops. So much better as a private tour than on a big bus! Only reason it isn't 5* review was the lunch stop let it down. It was in a random cafe with no charm and the food wasn't the best, although staff were friendly enough! Such a shame else would have been 5* for sure.... Could lunch stop be switched to something on the seafront with a view, it would make all the difference?! However, it wouldn't put me off reccomending the tour, the guide and drive were both great and overall the experience was good.

5.00Our guide was Mr. Chawki. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Mr. Chawki pointed out additional site along the way to help integrate more history and culture into our experience. Based on how the timing was going we were even able to spend a few minutes at the Roman Baths. I highly recommend this experience. Request Mr. Chawki if you can.

4.00Very interesting tour with lots of appropriate information delivered in a friendly engaging way. Info on the history of Tunisia with great stops to reinforce and educate in a fun way. Included a very interesting lunch with extremely tasty local food. If not paying in dinar the guide provided helpful advice on how much to pay. Very knowledgeable guide and nice driver. A really great way to see the sights with a personal touch.

5.00This was a fabulous day out. Really relaxed and intersting. We were picked up at our hotel on time, in a comfortable car. Excellent driver. We went to the museum first where we were given free time to expore we were there approx 2 hours. There was so much to view. We then drove on to Sidi B.S. again free time was an hour to walk around which was plenty and then we were taken to each of the sites at Carthage. Here we had as long as we required at each site, no pressure to rush. Our driver had very good english and pointed out things of interest on the journey and day to day life in Tunisia.
Brilliant day out.

5.00This tour is brilliant not only for seeing the beautiful sights in and around Tunis but also to learn about the history of Tunisia. My tour guide was very nice. friendly and very knowledgeable. I was given the choice of where I wanted to go and when, going through the destinations at my own pace then we went to a nice quiet restaurant with delicious Tunisian cuisine for lunch. I would recommend Didon tours and would join them for a tour again.

4.00Covered all the areas as mentioned in the description. Timings not accurate - e.g. only spent 10min walking in Sidi Bou Said and drove for 10min through it. Guide spent most time taking us to perfume shop and souvenir shop, I assume trying to get commission from sales

5.00Our guide Baligh was extremely knowledgeable and spoke excellent English, he gave us a detailed history of Tunisia and the sites we visited all imparted with a good sense of humour. We particularly enjoyed the visit to Sidi Bou Said and the cafe where we had drinks.

5.00Our private tour with Fahmi our guide, and Bassim our driver was incredible. Fahmi is extremely knowledgeable, and was explaining History, geology, and latin, of Tunis and Carthage. He clearly structured his tours based on what we were interested in and took us to a number of very private places in the middle of Tunis for the best photos. He is also a great photographer himself. Bassim was an excellent driver, and came an hour out of his way to pick us up from our hotel, his car is very clean, and he was also providing lots of information on the Tunisian countryside during the journey. Please do this tour, I cannot recommend it enough, it was amazing.
