After visiting this district, you will also have the chance to visit the ancient city of Carthage which has ancient monuments offering a superb view of the surrounding coast. After visiting this UNESCO-listed archaeological site, you'll continue to Sidi Bou Said, a picturesque blue-and-white village overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

Such a great Tour, especially the service from our guide Maher. He's an expert on Tunis and Tunisian/Carthagian history. We learned so much about both ancient and modern history, as well as local customs, foods and more. They also did an amazing lunch at a great locals fish restaurant in La Goulette. We whole heartedly recommend booking tours through these folks and requesting Maher if you can get him. He speaks English, French, Spanish, Italian and more.

I really enjoyed Beligh’s guide! He catered to my curiosity, and gave me detailed accounts on the Tunisian history, culture and current societal situation throughout the day. I learned a lot from him, which is why I hired a guide :) It was also great to have a separate driver, who drove safely and comfortably, and let Beligh focus on his guiding. It was a great private tour all in all :)

We had a great time with Didon Tours, our guide and driver were both professional, the pacing of the tour was just right, with good explanations of the history for each area we visited during the tour (Medina of Tunis, city of Carthage, Sidi Bou Said).

Our itinerary was as described. The entire day was around 7 hours. Our tour guide, Boutheina, and driver picked us up promptly at 9am. We had a nice time exploring the large local Medina in downtown. It was nice to have our tour guide take us around that area and help us communicate with the locals. We did feel like some of the places were somewhat pushy in wanting us to purchase items (examples: rugs, perfume, pottery, etc). The lunch was a highlight and at a local spot. Good service and good food. Ruins of Carthage was a nice spot. We definitely did not spend 1.5 hours there. It was nice that our tour guide gave us the highlights and let us walk around alone. Our last stop, Sidi bou Said, was gorgeous in person. I do wish we did this earlier in the day because we certainly were more tired after the full day of events. Overall, a great experience. We were so lucky to have Boutheina as our tour guide. She wad energetic, excited about her culture, and informative. She was our own personal photographer. She even planned a special stop for us to the US North African War Cemetery because of our interest in WWII history. We easily give her 5/5 stars. Thank you for making our day in Tunis so nice!

I highly recommend this tour for anyone spending a day in Tunis! Our guide, Fahmi Faidi, and our driver, Besem, made the entire experience feel welcoming, safe, and enjoyable. Both were incredibly kind, and Fahmi was full of knowledge, sharing stories and insights about the area’s history, culture, and daily life. When it started to rain lightly, Fahmi quickly adjusted our plans so we could stay dry without missing out on the experience. Lunch was delicious, and Fahmi went out of his way to make sure my food allergies were taken seriously and that I felt safe. The pace of the day was just right, with time built in to relax over coffee and tea. We saw and learned so much, more than we ever could have on our own. Fahmi also knew all the best photo spots and gave us space to enjoy the sights without pressure to purchase anything. In a place that felt very unfamiliar, we felt like we had a trusted friend showing us around. This tour was such a highlight of our trip, I can’t recommend it enough!
