After visiting this district, you will also have the chance to visit the ancient city of Carthage which has ancient monuments offering a superb view of the surrounding coast. After visiting this UNESCO-listed archaeological site, you'll continue to Sidi Bou Said, a picturesque blue-and-white village overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

Medina of Tunis
this sprawling labyrinth of ancient streets and alleys is one of the most impressive medieval medinas in North Africa and one of Tunisia's great treasures. It's home to numerous covered souks selling everything from shoes to shisha, as well as bustling cafes, alleyways full of artisans at work, and residential areas punctuated by large, brightly painted doorways. Historic palaces, hammams, mosques and madrassas (schools for the study of the Koran) are scattered throughout, many are richly decorated with tiles, carved stucco and marble columns.
La Goulette

3.00They describe this as "Private tour," but it is really a small group tour. We were not the only ones; there were 3 other couples. We originally booked this thinking it was private because we walk slowly and thought that would suit us better than trying to keep up with a group. Our guide walked with those who were at the front and only looked back occasionally to see if we were still following. Of course we didn't hear anything unless the group stopped. Because so many stops were planned and our group was from a ship, we asked the guide to eliminate a stop after lunch so we could be sure to return to the ship on time. He said he couldn't skip anything that was promised. The Bardo Museum was the best stop; the Roman mosaics were stunning. We did return to the ship on time, but some of us were concerned about getting stuck in traffic. Lunch took too much time and was not to everyone's taste. A quick stop for a snack might have sufficed.

False advertizing of a tour.

4.00While the guide was quite good, the advertisement had stated that the Bardo Museum would be included. That was the main site I wanted to see and had paid for, but I was then told we would not be visiting the Bardo. Very disappointing as this is false advertising..

5.00Very nice tour with Skander as guide. He took us to the medina and the souk early in the morning before the traffic and then to Sidi bou Said and then to a typical restaurant. It was really a tailor-made tour!

4.00I like Sundays because they are not so busy and it's more of a relaxed energy! I booked a tour without a guide. Lotfi was my driver. We communicated mainly through Google translate which worked out fine. I was able to see lovely views and sites of the city and had a good lunch. I could see others were taking taxis and I much preferred the ease of having a driver who did his best to make sure I got good pictures and was okay, especially as a solo traveler.

5.00It is a full day! The lunch provided was outstanding. Chaouki was one of the most knowledgeable and accommodating guides I’ve had. This tour was the most comprehensive view of Tunisia.

5.00A good one day tour of essential places around Tunis. We highly recommend. The early morning walk in the Medina was nice. We also learned a lot at the Bardo museum.
