Our half day starts at Pico dos Barcelos viewpoint, a very nice view of all Funchal, where we can see different locations of the city and have an amazing sight for lovely pictures.
Continuing up, we head in direction to one of the biggest tourist attractions of Madeira, Eira do Serrado at a height of 1053m (3455 feet), where we can enjoy the magnificent view of Nuns Valley, which once was a refuge for the Nuns of the Monastery of Santa Clara during the invasion of the French Privateers to the Island. During our trip we will stop in some viewpoints to see the Socorrido Stream and tell the story of Old Madeira with some narrow old roads built on the mountains.

Our guide Duarte took us through the island on a wonderful tour, with stops at points with spectacular views, a lot of history about these places and culture, in addition to presenting us with the local flavors; fruit and wooden wines, crowning all this with his sympathy and cordiality, a true and passionate Madeiranese. He became a friend of all of us!!!! Note 1000 for Duarte Nuno and his cry of war.....MADEIRA!!!!!!

5.00This tour exceeded our expectations. It truly was an amazing area. Our guide Marco was very knowledgeable and we all learned so much about the area, Madeira culture and history. He even treated us to a folk song on the accordion while we enjoyed refreshments, Would highly recommend this tour.
Guide Duarte made a presentation of the island with mastery, guide, photographer, driver, historian and very helpful!

5.00Our tour guide, Francisco was highly knowledgeable about the island and was able to answer all of our questions. The trip was amazing and we were able to stop off at all points of interest without ever feeling rushed. For anxious passengers, Francisco was an excellent driver and we felt completely safe even around the hairpin bends. An excellent tour that we would definitely recommend to anyone. If we come back to Madeira again we will be booking more tours through this company!
