Benin, officially the Republic of Benin and formerly Dahomey, is a country in West Africa. It is bordered by Togo to the west, Nigeria to the east, and Burkina Faso and Niger to the north. The capital of Benin is Porto-Novo, but the seat of government is in Cotonou, the country's largest city and economic capital. The official language of Benin is French. However, indigenous languages such as Fon and Yoruba are commonly spoken.It was Marxist-Leninist state from 1975 to 1990 after dissolution of U.S.S.R. ( Union of Soviet Socialist Republics). In 1991, it was replaced by the current multi-party Republic of Benin.

Cotonou Cathedral
Cotonou-Ganvie-Cotonou. Explore the Venice of Africa, Lake Ganvié. Visit the water market, the Channel of Lovers, and especially the monument that traces the history of the city of Ganvié. Also, tour Sô Ava and other villages situated on the water. Ganvié is located in the middle of Lake Nokoué and is characterized by colorful wooden stilt houses arranged around artificial islands dating back to the 17th century. This unique architecture was born from the history of the Tofinu tribe, who built it as a refuge from the slave trade. Enjoy lunch in Ganvié and return to Cotonou. Duration: 8 hours.
Cotonou Cathedral
Cotonou-Ouidah-Cotonou. On the way to the famous Ouidah, the starting point for slaves bound for the New World. Begin with a visit to the sacred forest and then the Temple of the Pythons. The old Portuguese fort, transformed into a museum, immerses us in one of the most significant moments in history. Next, follow the famous Slave Route that these men, women, and children once traversed, chained to the Gate of No Return. Upon returning, explore the Zinsou Foundation Museum before heading back to Cotonou. Duration: 8 hours.

Friends make together a group to visit the village Ganvié located on the water it is a very beautiful village me I was and you???? It's sweet you can also spend nights in Ganvié there are restaurants with fan and super markets floating schools, hospitals, etc and voodoo temples
