Hello, my name's Micaela Lucini and I'm a private local guide in Stresa. This is a classic itinerary option to explore the fabulous Borromeo islands but please get in touch with me should you wish a customized tour tailored to your needs and time. I can design a special tour if you prefer to spend a longer time on the islands or wish to combine the visit to one or more islands to a sightseeing boat tour for a stress-free trip! Get in touch before booking also if you have walking problems, so that I can suggest the best option to visit. Enjoy a tour of the Borromean islands to discover the real beauty of lake Maggiore. Micaela goes over and beyond for touring. Her knowledge of history, art, botany and architecture are amazing and she is very attentive to detail and personal needs.

Micaela was absolutely amazing! She is extremely knowledgeable, and she brought to life the stories of the Borromeo family. I could not be any happier! The private tour was incredible!!

Michaela is a top notch guide. She is a wonderful communicator so you know every detail of where to meet. A side note DEFINITELY pay for a private boat. It is worth every penny so that you don't have to wait in the long lines in the heat for public boats. Michaela will arrange this. Michaela takes you to the three islands on Lake Maggiore for this tour. You might think you don't need a guide but the history, stories and plant information from all over the world is fascinating. Michaela is fun, nice, smart and everything else you would want in an outstanding guide. Her English is perfect, as she used to teach English to children. I highly recommend Michaela and this tour! She's the best. (Also if you need any transfers from or to the airport, ask her about her husband David.)

The trip was fantastic. The guide Michela (sp?) was very personable and knowledgeable. Spend the extra money on the private boat. This was the highlight of our time in Stresa.
