Guellala is located in the south of Djerba, facing the Gulf of Boughrara. It is the highest point of the island, located on Âdloun hill. This small town, populated by around 10,000 inhabitants, is home to a treasure created by a woman... the Berber Heritage Museum. Guellala is also renowned as the pottery capital of southern Tunisia, like Nabeul in the north of the country. Pottery is one of the oldest crafts in Guellala, dating back to the times of the Phoenicians and Greeks.
