Ring of Beara
Ring of Beara is loop drive around Beara Peninsula through most colourful villages. Ardgroom, Eyeries and Allihies, villages like from a fairy tale. Castletownbere town is great spot for lunch. Fishing town offering freshest seafood , nearly straight from the boat. Healy Pass in the middle of Beara peninsula is not at the Ring really but must not be skipped. Private tourers can reach this spectacular viewing point. On top we may expect more and more pretty places mostly available for passenger cars and vans only.
Molly Gallivan's Cottage & Traditional Farm
Molly Gallivan's cottage is most traditional and authentic old Irish place. Like museum of Irish folklore. Visiting the place is like moving back in time, hundred years ago or more. Even tea is served from a real fireplace.

5.00The Ring of Beara can only be accessed by the boldest of drivers...or in our case, Piotr! The weather was just as wild and untamed as the landscape. Piotr allowed for a customized tour, so we focused on stone circles, a visit to Castletownbere, a cable car to Dursey Island and a meal stop at Allihies. This was by far the highlight of our trip! Piotr was an excellent guide and provided great insight into the history, flora, and fauna of Ireland. I would highly recommend this private tour with Piotr!

5.00We had a fantastic day. Our guide, Peter, was fantastic and gave us ample time to see the sights and enjoy different areas of the ring. He was very considerate of our 7 year old son and customized our tour to fit our needs. We can’t recommend this tour enough.

5.00Uragh Stone Circle is one of the most mystical places I've come across. The photo does not do it justice Situated between two lakes, surrounded by a natural amphitheatre of volcanic mountains facing the sea on the Northern shore of the fabulous Beara Peninsula, it must have inspired Neolithic people with awe and reverence. I'm surprised it was not replaced by an early Christian church.

5.00The best experience in my life. Absolutely fabulous tour guide with exceptional knowledge about Ireland. Tour with Peter was the best day of my holidays, we saw a lot of wonderful places and we had a really, really great day. Must have for everyone visiting Ireland. Highly recommended.

5.00Peter met my wife and I at our Kenmare hotel and he was very accommodating to make sure we made sufficient stops for scenic viewing and pictures. Peter also repeatedly said that we could make any stop along the route. He is knowledgeable about the area and can cover history in as much depth as desired. He made sure to take the time to drive carefully since much of the road is very narrow. The sites of the coastline are fantastic with very little traffic compared to other Ring tours. If you’re looking for little crowds and fantastic camera opportunities, this is your tour!

5.00I love the fact that tour busses can’t drive the Beara. No crowds, quiet beauty. The roads could be a little rough at times but worth the trip.

5.00We had a private tour of The Ring of Beara. Peter was our guide and did a fantastic job. He is very pleasant and full of information and taylored the day to what we wanted. We had four adults in our group and were very comfortable in his van.

5.00We took a tour along the Ring of Beara with our friends and it was an absolute highlight of our vacation in Ireland. The area was unbelievably beautiful, rich in historical landmarks and we wouldn't discover even half of them if not for our driver - Peter. He knew the story of every village, lake, island and ruin along the way. In the beginning we planned to visit this region on our own but I am so glad that we didn't! I definitively recommend this tour and the guide (+ you can let go of the stress of driving on the "other" side of the road :))
