There is a medieval fortress Amberd on the southern slopes of the Mount Aragats, away from the hectic cities. It stands on the rocky cliff on the height of 2100 meters protected from two sides with deep gorges at the junction of rivers Amberd and Arkashen. The altitude is 3402 m; the surface area is 0,12 sq.m; the depth is 9 m. There is a meteorological station, equipped on the Eastern coast of the lake.

Saghmosavank Monastery
The monastery complex Saghmosavank is located on the right bank of the Kasakh River, in the village of Saghmosavan. According to tradition, Saghmosavank was founded by Grigor Lusavorich (Grigory the Illuminator).
Hovhannavank Monastery
The Hovhanavank Monastery complex is located in the village of Hovhanavan, on the edge of the gorge of the Kasakh River. Perhaps it was dedicated to the Jesus Baptist St. Hovhannes Mkrtich.

5.00First timer in Armenia is like a perfect experience with the help of Jan Armenia Tours & Travel. They have coordinated great drivers and experienced tour guide Gohar and help us to well understand the rich history, culture and people while visiting and exploring some wonders of Armenia. This made our visit more memorable. 5.00Getting a tour when you have limited time is the best way to know the city you are visiting. I had a great time being solo traveller since I own my time. Gagik let me spend all the time I need playing in the snow and even became my photographer. The tour itself was short since there only 3 destination in this package but the amount of time I spent on those places made it worth while.

5.00Lilit was our travel advisor, we first met her to collect our Yerevan card. She booked all the complimentary tour activities, she helped us with sim card activation. She is one of the best travel advisors I have met in nine years of my travel. She kept in touch throughout our stay and made sure we were okay. She offered many trips as per our taste and we took the private tour to Kari lake and she customised it as per our preferences. The trip was well organized, with free wi-fi and a courteous driver.
