Dunn's River Falls and Park
The Dunn's River Falls is the most beautiful waterfalls in Jamaica. At the Falls you get to enjoy a bit of the Caribbean Sea before starting your hike to the top. Most persons can participate if your are in average phical condition. The hike up the Falls is approximately a hour of fun and beauty. Climb from very small cascading level to huge waterfalls while enjoying the refreshing water spring from the Mountains everyday all year round. You can stop at different point to play in multiple pools working your way to the top, be sure to get a back massage at some of the beautiful cascading level as the water come pouring over. After making your way above the main waterfall look back at the journey you have just completed and the picturesque view. The waterfalls are all natural with lush green landscape nature at it's best. The hike continues with more cascading level ahead but no need to rush just chill in one of the comfortable pool, after a hour of adventure you are at the end.

Enjoy a day adventure to the famous Dunn's River Falls, from Ocho Rios hotels and cruise port. After pickup in a comfortable air-conditioned van you will be taken directly to Dunn's River Falls. On the way, you will be driving along the coast where you can see some of the lush scenery. Upon arrival in Jamaica, you will get your wristband to enter the park. After a 5-minute walk you will reach a white sandy beach at the bottom of the falls. Your expert guide will take you on a hike you'll never forget up the 600-foot waterfall with natural rock steps. In addition to the hike, you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the many pools along the way. As you continue up the terraced rocks to the top, you can look back at the amazing view below. Take your photo at the sign that saying congratulations you just climb the world famous Dunn's River Falls! After your awesome experience you will return to the van. Your tour will end with drop-off at your Ocho Rios hotel or cruise port.

5.00We went as a family of 4 to see the falls. Excellent experience, very knowledgeable guide, talks about history, nature and so many cool things about Jamaica. His vehicle is super clean and comfortable. Pick up was on time. I would recommend Delton and his services to all of my family and friends visiting Jamaica. 10 out of 10!!

5.00Can't recommend Delton highly enough. He gave my husband and I a very enjoyable overview of the local area as well as the trip to Dunns River Falls. Full of lots of interesting details and information about the local flora and fauna. He totally understood we weren't interested in the usual tourist trappings and just shared with us his love of his home. This is our first trip to Jamaica and we felt very safe with Delton. The private trip cost much less than the group trip we could have booked through our resort and we got far more than they were offering. Recommend booking direct for the best price.

5.00Our family of four (two adults and two kids, ages 15 and 11) just returned from two incredible days with Dr. Fun Tours, and we can 100% confirm why this company has so many 5-star reviews. If you are looking for a private, stress-free way to see the best of Ocho Rios, look no further than Delton. We visited Dunn’s River Falls via Catamaran and Yaaman Adventure Park, and the experiences were seamless from start to finish. Delton picked us up each day in an incredibly clean, air-conditioned van and immediately made us feel like family. His knowledge of the island is amazing, and his riddles, jokes and stories kept the kids entertained the whole way. A few things that stood out to us: Expert Timing: Delton knows exactly when to get you to the Falls to avoid the massive cruise ship crowds. We felt like we actually had space to enjoy the climb. Total Safety: Traveling as a family, safety is always a priority. Delton is a true professional and a gentleman; we felt completely secure and well-looked-after the entire day. The "Local" Touch: Between stops, he shared so much about Jamaican history and culture that you just don't get on the big bus tours. If you’re staying near Ocho Rios or visiting on a cruise, do yourself a favor and book with Dr. Fun. It was worth every penny to have a local private guide who truly cares about your experience. 5.00Dr. Fun (Delton) was communicating with me as soon as I booked a couple months prior, giving me great confidence we were going to have an amazing time. Honestly, this day in Ocho Rios far exceeded our expectations. We went to Dunn’s River Falls, then he took us to a Jamaican patty place for a bit before we headed to Blue Hole. What an incredible adventure! At the end we stopped for some local snacks. Throughout our journey, he also gave us rich history and culture lessons, sang with us and made it the best Christmas Eve Day! Thank you, Dr. Fun! If we are ever in the area, we will definitely book again and have already recommended friends and family to book with him too!

5.00Have no fear Dr. FUN IS IT! DONT EVEN CONSIDER JUST BOOK! THIS WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD ON ANY VACATION! I travel quite a bit and have been to over 10 countries. So with that i have met and experienced many different cultures and people! Hands down Dr. Fun will be the most memorable! Even my 3 year old cant stop singing the dr fun song! She took right to him with his warm presence. Not to mention i am a huge fan of history and after the tour i felt i have lived in Jamaica all my life with all that i learned! He kept us on time and extremely safe! At the end he also stopped at a local resturant for the true experience of Jamaican food! When i say dont even think about it just book i have never ment something with more passion in my life! You will not be disappointed!

5.00Dr. Fun Tours does live up to his name. He was able to accommodate 26 of us me and my family. We went to Dunn’s River Falls had a good time. He took us shopping and to get Jamaica Patties and eat at a Jamaican Restaurant. Mr. Felton was knowledgeable about Jamaica and we had a great time with him. He took care of all our other excursions we wanted to do. If you are going to Ocho Rios look up Dr.Fun Tours

5.00Dr. Fun provided our family with an amazing experience! He was by far the best part of our trip and we are still talking about him weeks after our trip. He provided us with information about Jamaica during our experience and taught us the Dr. Fun song which our kids (middle school and high school) couldn’t get enough of 🤣….. truly a genuine person who provided an amazing experience. During our trip there was an accident that caused over a 1 hour back up of traffic. This didn’t affect our trip and Dr.Fun ensured we got our entire experience regardless of the delay. If you are able to book Dr. Fun you won’t be disappointed!

5.00My wife and I have been to Jamaica eight times. The first seven, beginning in 2003, we stayed at Couples Negril. Our most recent vacation was to Couples Tower Isle, so that we could see another part of the island. My wife booked this tour with Delton, but when our scheduled day came, it was raining and overcast, and so we asked Delton to reschedule. Our schedule was very flexible, and Delton was extremely accommodating. He finally contacted us on the morning of our tour, and we all agreed that the weather was looking promising, so we decided to go. Delton picked us up right on time, in his very clean van, and we were on our way. In the drive from our resort to the Falls, he explained so much about Ocho Rios and the region, pointing out numerous points of interest. When we got to the Falls, he handled all the arrangements, and we were on our way. We had told him in advance that we had no desire to actually get in the water, so we took a leisurely stroll down the paths and stairways that parallel the Falls, eventually ending up on the beach. It was nice to see the wonderful condition of the facilities, as clearly this attraction is a tourist favorite, and the Jamaicans treat it as such. We took our time, and took all the necessary pictures, including one with Delton that we talked a very nice lady into taking of us. During the tour, Delton pointed out all the various trees and other plants, making sure that we understood how important each one was. Once we left the Falls, Delton took us up through Fern Gulley, explaining the history of the roadway (which since it was raining, we could easily see how it might have been a stream before it was paved). Again, he kept us informed of the features, and the history. As we got to the turn-around point, we passed a Scotch Bonnet field, and he graciously maneuvered his van around so that we could get some pictures which included the ripe peppers. We grow Habaneros in our garden back in Texas, and we loved seeing their Jamaican cousins growing as well. On our way back to the resort, he took us down through central Ocho Rios, explaining the various buildings, and pointing out the local points of interest. All in all, an extraordinary experience, seemed like we had spent a half a day with an old friend, showing us around, with pride, his homeland. We have taken a number of private tours during our travels, but never one that was as informative and relaxing as our time with Delton.

5.00We were visiting Jamaica for the 1st time and I really wanted to explore Dunn's River Falls & also do a Bamboo river rafting tour on Martha Brae River as they were both on my bucket list. I researched this tour on my own as I wanted a truly local and immersive experience by choosing a safe and reliable tour operator outside of the ones the hotels and cruise lines offered. After doing a lot of research on TripAdvisor, Facebook & Instagram, I chose to go with Dr. Fun Tours and we were not disappointed at all as our experience was soo much more memorable!!! Trust me! You wont be disappointed! Mr. Delton Rhoden (aka Dr. Fun) who is the owner of Dr. Fun Tours was also our tour guide. He promptly picked my husband & I up at our resort - Secrets St. James which was at Montego Bay at 9am for a private tour. Delton was very professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. The van was air-conditioned, sanitized and clean. Delton also made sure that we were well hydrated and also brought a mango for us that was plucked from his own garden. Along the way, he informed us about the history of the place, the life of the people of Jamaica, the culture and specialties of the towns we passed by, the local foods and the famous artists and celebrities who have put Jamaica on the world map! We even participated in Dr. Fun's Fun Song along the way! We really appreciated this personalized experience as we were not packed in a bus with a bunch of other people. We reached Dunn's Falls safely as we travelled a good 1 hour from Montego Bay into Ocho Rios and we were very impressed with Delton (aka Dr. Fun) as he himself went to get our entrance tickets. We did not have to stand in lineups. He personally went to get the tickets and accompanied us into Dunn's falls. He made sure to let us know where to wait for him after we had finished the climb. He ensured that our personal items were locked in his van and ensured us of the safety of our belongings. We had a great time at Dunn's Falls and found Delton waiting for us to take us to the next stop on our tour! We requested Delton to recommend some local delicacies and he took us to this amazing shop that makes Sweet Potato Pie and got us a slice for us to taste without even charging us for it. He then took us into the town to this amazing Jamaican Beef patty place and waited for us while we got ourselves delicious local patties for lunch. On our way to Martha Brae river, Delton also took us to Fern valley to show us the beautiful ferns and flora along the valley! We then reached Martha Brae river rafting after another 15mins and there as well, we did not wait in any lines as Delton made sure to go in and purchase the tickets himself and told us promptly that he will be waiting for us at the base of the river's end when we had finished our rafting tour! It was so surreal and relaxing! Delton made sure that he took us safely and brought us back to Secrets St. James in Montego Bay safely. Dr. Fun Tours really made our 1st trip to Jamaica so much more memorable! Thanks Delton (Dr. Fun)!! We had a great time with you and recommend Dr. Fun Tours to all our family and friends who now all want to come to Jamaica after we told them what an amazing time we had with you!!!! We will definitely be back to Jamaica & looking forward to more tours with Dr. Fun❤️💛💚

5.00Let me just say, you don’t want to miss an opportunity to go on a tour with Dr. Fun! We are a family from Kentucky party of 9, 5 kids and 4 adults and had the best experience. We contacted Delton via email and placed a deposit for our day. We were able to customize our tour. We went to Dunn’s river falls and the Blue Hole plus 2 stops for some authentic Jamaican food—juicy Pattie’s (loved) and some jerk chicken and pork with all the fixins’..YEH MON!! Delton provided a lot of history and fun while riding thru the countryside in a very comfortable air conditioned van. He is well respected by everyone we encountered and we felt very safe. While we did both excursions at our own pace, he was there taking pictures along the way. He can arrange guides to help you navigate the falls, we didn’t do that because we wanted to go at our own pace, but we did at the Blue Hole. Our kids are still singing his song. Don’t miss out on this opportunity and we can’t wait to come back for a visit and stay longer. We will definitely be booking several tours with Dr. Fun!!
