Garni Temple
Garni temple, which towers over a triangular cape, is the unique survived example of heathen culture in Armenia. It is a blend of Greco-Roman and Armenian styles. King Trdat The First ordered building the temple in the first century AD and dedicated it to the God of Sun. After adopting Christianity in 301, the pagan temple lost its significance and the fortress of Garni became the summer residence of the kings. Nowadays the ruins of the royal palace and the bathroom with a stunning mosaic work can be found near the temple.
The Monastery of Geghard
Geghard monastery is the unsurpassable masterpiece of the 13th century Armenian architecture. Some of the churches of the complex are masterfully hewn in a huge rock. From the outset the complex was called Ayrivank (cave monastery), later it was renamed Geghard (lance) as the lance, used by the roman soldier to sting Jesus Christ's side, had been kept in this monastery for many centuries. Due to its construction, Geghardavank serves the best place for singing spiritual songs. The complex is rich in subtle sculptural embellishments and many striking khachkars (cross-stones). The site is included in UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List.

5.00Drove to Garni and the surrounding area with guide Haik and driver Hachik. Visited the Symphony of Stones, the Pagan Temple of Garni and the Monastery of Gegartavank. Also attended a master class on baking lavash. Entertaining and colorful stories, as well as very gentle driving made visiting these places very memorable! Thank you!

5.00I had the privilege of doing a solo tour to Garni and Geghard and the experience was amazing. Although I did a last minute booking since i was time bound in-country, Anna Araik were kind enough to pick me from my hotel and ensured they gave me the tour of my life. Extremely professional and yet very friendly people. I recommend everyone to use Anna and Araik of Hyur Services when in Yerevan

5.00We booked the private tour for the first time this year (last year we went on the group tour by bus) and it was so comfortable & relaxing 😍 Admission fees to Garni and slopes were included as well as our lunch stop. The trip was from 8AM to almost 3PM (we were back in Yerevan around 4:30PM). Our lovely driver Levon picked us up right in front of the hotel, he was very punctual as he was there before our meeting time at 8am, and he was super sweet & discreet. We discussed with him how we would like to divide the day & we agreed on everything. The nice thing about the private tour is that time is yours exclusively & you don’t feel any rush. We enjoyed the temple of Garni and the slope ropes but the highlight of our day was the monastery of Geghard - simply gorgeous! Levon was giving us tips about where to look and what to look for on our way in the mini van. Lunch was spent in a nice authentic restaurant, and they had a souvenir section. The people were very welcoming and the place is breathtaking - needless to talk about the tasty food 🥰💫 Thank you again Hyur for always ensuring great experiences and memorable trips in Armenia 🩵🤩

5.00The trip went smooth and we had a lot of fun. The driver Levon was so polite and informative. He planned the trip according to our needs. The lunch was in an amazing village restaurant in Garni where the food was amazing. I would really recommend this tour for families and couples and group of friends. Also Levon is one of the most friendliest and most professional drivers I know. Keep up the good work.😊

5.00Spectacular tour, our guide Lyana very knowledgeable and conveys love for the places of her Armenia. Fabulous places including in particular the monastery of ghegard and the temple of Garni. 5.00The tour guide, Sam very knowledgeable and kind. You can tell he enjoys interacting with tourists. Levon kept us safe on the road. He’s a pro driver! The sites were breath taking and drenched in history and culture. I would suggest using the bathroom before heading out and not attempting to use the bathroom at the monastery 🤮 A wonderful experience .

5.00Absolutely fantastic! From the very start to the end! The driver, Markus, was attentive and careful. The guide, Anait, was giving us so much information and in such a wonderful way, we didn't feel overloaded with new facts and at the same time learned so much during the tour. When I'm back I'm booking with them again for sure!
