Saint Hilarion Castle

Great introduction to the area and its history

5.00This was a fascinating day and Sedat is a knowledgable and patient guide. We were met at the Ledra crossing and then the tour started with a visit to St Hilarion castle before we continued to Kyrenia castle, with its associated museums, and harbour and ended at Bellapais Abbey after lunch. It was lovely chatting to someone who had first hand experience of the events of the 1970s in Cyprus and also a wide range of knowledge on other topics. We were not rushed at any point throughout the tour and any explanations or clarifications I asked for were provided with good grace. The tour included all admissions and lunch too so we had nothing to spend the entire day, a lovely change. The weather wasn't ideal and we had some torrential downpours but were able to see everything that we wanted to with minimal disruption. The driving was very safe and the car modern and spacious. There were other tours that offered to visit more places but I feel they would have been very rushed and just skimmed over the highlights while we had over an hour at each location we visited which made for a more immersive experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour, it was certainly the highlight of our visit.

5.00This was a great tour, worth it. The guide was amazing and knowledgable. Lunch was included (which wasn't clear on some of the information) and we had some authentic food. Recommend 100%.

5.00We were happy to have a guide in Sedat. He was pleasant, chill and shared good information on the places we visited, including personal anecdotes. In fact, we booked a 2nd tour to Famagusta after completing the Kyrenia tour. The lunch places we were brought to were lovely as well! We definitely recommend Sedat and Side Tours.

5.00Our guide was excellent with plenty of information and answers to all our questions. The day gave us all the main areas of interest north of Nicosia, plus a local lunch. A lot of walking but worth it for the experience. Thoroughly recommended

5.00I had a wonderful tour guide, Sedat, whose knowledge of Northern Cyprus, it's history, and culture was fabulous. I had returned to Cyprus, where I once lived, for the first time in 63 years. I got to see Kyrenia Harbor where we had a house, Kyrenia Castle and St Hilarion's where my family visited often. Not only was it a great tour, but it was a walk down memory lane. Sedat was very supportive and encouraging in making sure I got to see the places that were important to me.
Highly recommended to see a lot in a relaxed way and get to know the culture on the Turkish side of Cyprus

5.00The guide met us just behind the Turkish border and that all went very smoothly. He told us a lot about the history of Cyprus and the places we visited. That was very interesting. It was a surprise to us that lunch was included. That was in a very nice local restaurant, where we ate delicious. The places we visited were beautiful and interesting.
