Starting of the tour from your location to Bruges, the famous "Venise of the north " Unesco world heritage. Discover the canals and beautiful gothic buildings with the explanations of your guide who will bring you to the most interesting places of the City center as the Basilica of the Holly blood of Jesus, the Belfrey tower, the Minnewater lake, our Lady Church, Sint Janshospital with it's beautiful Memling museum and/or the Groeninge museum. Enjoy and optional boat trip. Free time for lunch. After lunch, continuation to Ghent and it's marvelous Altarpiece in the Cathedral. Enjoy the canals and guild houses of the City center with an optional boat trip. Don't miss the Castle of Counts of Flanders! After the visit, the guide and the driver will drop you off at your hotel or elsewhere in Brussels.

Minnewaterbrug
What does minnewater mean? This is the Dutch name for the lake, which is made up of two Dutch words: minne, which means both "common" and "love", and water, which means "water". Thus, the most correct translation would mean translating the word minne as "common", since these were the "common waters, community waters, everyone's water" since it was where the old port of Bruges was located, a site closely linked to the city and the daily life of its citizens.

The beguinage is one of the most representative complexes of Bruges, a prelude to what you will find in this magical city, an environment anchored in the Middle Ages immersed in a sea of tranquility. In addition, it is declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

5.00Our day trip to Bruges and Ghent was great. Everything felt smooth and personalized from start to finish. Our guide has a rich historical knowledge and was full of great details. The entire day flew by and we left with a deeper appreciation for Belgium’s rich culture. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a thoughtful, engaging way to explore two of Belgium’s most captivating cities.

5.00Our recent tour of Bruges and Ghent was a wonderful introduction to the charm and some of the vibrant history of Belgium. Bruges was picturesque and steeped in medieval history. Our guide Erik’s passion for storytelling made our day particularly enjoyable as he expertly highlighted some of the key historical facts of the places we visited and shared many of the local folklores as well. The transportation was very comfortable, allowing us to relax and enjoy the scenic Belgian countryside. Our lovely driver Samad was very accommodating, on time, and put us at ease with his safe driving, kind demeanor and excellent attitude. We greatly appreciated Erik’s ability to navigate around the larger tour groups so we could more fully enjoy iconic sights like the serene Lake of Love (Minnewater Lake), the Begijnhof (UNESCO world heritage site) and the busy market square with the impressive Belfry. Moving on to Ghent, we were grateful to have Erik at our side to give us an insider’s view of his home town. He helped us pick out some amazingly delicious local dishes for lunch (a fish soup, a rabbit stew and an excellent Trappist beer). After lunch we continued to explore Ghent—which was a lovely blend of medieval and Renaissance architecture and a more modern university town feel. It was wonderful to get to walk by the Castle of the Counts and to visit Saint Bavo Cathedral and see the alter piece "Adoration of the Mystic Lamb" by the Van Eyck brothers in person—photos do not do it justice. We were shocked at how quickly the day flew by and will definitely have to come back and spend more time exploring each city.

5.00Mary(Mareke) was an awesome tour guide!! She was so knowledgeable about the 2 cities we wanted to visit! She was personable and accommodating! Lunch was yummy and the stop for chocolate was perfect!! What a wonderful day we had! Amine was a smooth and careful driver! Don’t miss this tour for a personal experience!

5.00We made a last-minute decision to go on this tour, and thankfully, the company accommodated our request. The next morning, we were off to the enchanting medieval town of Bruges an absolute gem! It turned out to be the best day we spent outside of Brussels. Highly recommended! Don't miss the Groeninge museum. Our guide, Mariane, and driver, Amit, were fantastic!

5.00Damian's enthusiasm and positive attitude truly stood out. His excitement for the city's history was both admirable and contagious, enhancing the tour experience. Even on his birthday, he stayed upbeat and helpful, making sure everyone felt confident and encouraged to ask questions. I'd gladly tour with Damian again.

5.00I was thoroughly impressed with the organization and the detailed information provided throughout the tour. The car was impeccably clean inside and out, with readily available bottled water. Our driver, Amine, was extremely courteous and professional. The guide also displayed a highly professional, communicative, and engaging attitude. The duration of the guided tour was perfect, allowing us to explore various historical sites and admire the city’s stunning architecture. A highlight was visiting the different chocolate shops! The transitions between different points of interest and the accompanying information were seamless and insightful. Overall, I highly recommend this tour, especially with this company.

Bruges and Ghent were stunning, and the guide did a great job of connecting the buildings and historical figures to their historical context.
