Since childhood, this museum has been my favorite place in the city; it became my home for many years. Nowadays, the excitement of showing such a special space to other people is always immense.

Through the eyes of "A Young Archaeologist," you will discover Mesoamerica and its cultures and regions. My objective is to show you that pre-Hispanic history in this country goes beyond just the Maya and Aztecs. I will take you to the main exhibition halls to explore the masterpieces of each culture. We will discuss their history, religion, politics, economy, architecture, and traditions. Together, we will understand their possible meanings. By the end, you will have knowledge of the great variety of cultures in the past and their processes over time. Additionally, you will see why this museum is the favorite space of this archaeologist. Passion, fun, and professionalism are guaranteed.

5.00We had such a great experience with Pakalito who gave us a private tour of the Museum of Archaeology in Mexico City. From the start, you could tell he really loves what he does and knows so much about Mexico’s history and ancient cultures. He made everything easy to understand, answered all our questions, pointed out cool details we would’ve totally missed, and kept the tour fun and interesting the whole time. Because of him, the museum felt more alive and memorable instead of just walking around looking at objects. We learned a ton and had a really good time. Highly recommend taking a tour with him — you won’t be disappointed!

5.00Pakalito is the best private museum guide we have ever hired! He's highly educated and passionate. His deep understanding made history come to life for us. He used his iPad to illustrate events and highlight sections of artifacts, and explained connections between the different periods and the present. He’s so good that another professional heard his explanation of the Aztec calendar to us and came over to congratulate him! This tour was amazing.

5.00David’s knowledge and curiosity brought Mesoamerica to life. He has great visual aids that he used to explain things in an interesting and efficient way. Answered questions directly. We all learned a lot and enjoyed his company. He’s friendly but not corny. Totally worth the cost.

5.00This tour was AMAZING. I have taken many guided tours, and this one was perhaps the best I have taken. David is extremely knowledgable and went above and beyond in the whole tour and answered all of our questions. The history and depth of the items in the museum would have been impossible to grasp without the tour. I can't recommend this tour enough!

5.00This is a very well organized and engaging tour. David, the tour guide, has 9 years of experience and has done over 225 of these tours. There is so much to see at this museum and David does a great job of picking the key areas to focus on. He uses a tablet to provide additional details and information to help describe what we were seeing. Well worth the cost!

5.00David was an incredible guide. He had a very "academic" perspective and went very in depth. He was young and enthusiastic. He clearly had a genuine love for the material. He was very well educated. He used an iPad to show many very helpful photos, maps, and diagrams. He was engaging and the time flew by. We were referring back to the information David shared with us during this tour when visiting other sites around Mexico City. Highly recommend; one of the best guided tours I've done.
