The National Anthropology Museum feels like stepping into a time capsule, unlocking secrets of ancient civilizations at every turn. Every corner holds a piece of history waiting to be unearthed.
Sometimes you can feel lost in time, but through my eyes, you’ll be able to find the right steps to uncover more answers and more questions.
Since childhood, this museum has been my favorite place in the city; it became my home for many years. Nowadays, the excitement of showing such a special space to other people is always immense.
If you're not a big fan of museums, allow me the opportunity to show you how fun they can be... And if you already enjoy museums, let's savor and learn together.

Through the eyes of "A Young Archaeologist," you will discover Mesoamerica and its cultures and regions. My objective is to show you that pre-Hispanic history in this country goes beyond just the Maya and Aztecs. I will take you to the main exhibition halls to explore the masterpieces of each culture. We will discuss their history, religion, politics, economy, architecture, and traditions. Together, we will understand their possible meanings. By the end, you will have knowledge of the great variety of cultures in the past and their processes over time. Additionally, you will see why this museum is the favorite space of this archaeologist. Passion, fun, and professionalism are guaranteed.

5.00David (Pakalito) was an excellent guide. His passion for history and archeology shines in his presentation. The use of the additional digital materials was extremely helpful. Can recommend without hesitation. A wonderful 3 hours.

5.00Excellent, knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide who is passionate about Mexican history and Meso-American archaeology. He can go as in depth as you request or do a broad survey. I highly recommend David Huesca for touring any PreHispanic archaeological site in the Mexico City area or further afield.

Friendly and extremely knowledgeable - including an iPad that he brings with to provide supplemental information to help you understand what you are seeing. The museum is huge and covers an enormous range. Pakalito was extremely helpful in taking us through it and helping us understand what we were seeing and how it fit into the sweep of Mexico's history. Also, if you sign up with him, you can be sure that you will get Pakalito, and not just whoever some tour company can assign to you on a particular day. Highly recommended!

5.00Our archeologist, David Huesca was the best! He was welcoming, knowledgeable, professional but friendly, patient with our many questions, fun, and very passionate! The Anthropology Museum is HUGE and David brought it all in and instead of it being overwhelming it was a full, but manageable overview, which was exactly what we wanted! We were a group of four and we all felt it was the best day of our trip in the sense of understanding the history of the people and culture. Thank you to “Pakalito” for an amazing experience!!! 😊 We definitely recommend you request David as your guide, he has found his purpose. Pam & Charlie from Minnesota

5.00This was far and away a fantastic tour! David, or Pakalito as he likes to be called, was an exceptional, extremely knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide. His enthusiasm for the subject of the anthropological culture of Mexico is unsurpassed, as is his knowledge of! Highly recommended!!

5.00Fantastic tour experience with Pakalito. Unbelievable wealth of knowledge presented with enthusiasm and humor. He taught us so much about the Mesoamerican cultures. His visual aids on the iPad were especially helpful. There seemed to be no questions he did not have an immediate answer for. Would give 10 stars if we could!

5.00Wonderful to her. The three hours flew by. It really enhanced the museum because there are very l few explanations in English. I wouldn’t have been able to get much out of the museum without Davjd.

5.00Pakal (David) might have been the best tour guide we have EVER had. He was clearly passionate and welcoming and made us feel like we could ask any question we had. He gave us so much context into what we were looking at that it completely changed our understanding and our experience at the museum. He has been to some of these sites himself as an archeologist, which contributes to the passion he has for the subject. I would not recommend visiting the Anthropology Museum without a guide as there is little English at the museum. Any time we are in Mexico again, we will be reaching out to Pakal!
