The ride was long. Make sure that you really prepare for this trip. It is a hit and miss, it was a miss for us. The driver was texting while driving and receving phone calls on your way. The communication skill of the driver was not also one of the best. We thought that drivers were vetted to take such positions but we learned our lesson.

An easy relaxing transfer from Sapa to Hanoi. My wife slept most of the way while I read a book. We made a quick stop 3 hours in for a bathroom break and a beer. Nice easy ride.

The private transfer from Hanoi to Sa Pa was a terrible experience. The vehicle was completely different from what was advertised—dirty, poorly maintained, and uncomfortable, with faulty suspension and constant noise from an electronic error. There was leftover trash from previous passengers, and the car was dusty, causing us to cough throughout the ride. Despite reaching out to Viator with evidence and a request for a partial refund, they failed to offer any resolution or support. This lack of customer care is unacceptable and disappointing.

We got a fast and comfortable transfer from our Sapa hotel to Hanoi airport. There was some mixup at the pick up time, we had to contact the supplier, but the situation was rectified by them quickly and professionaly. We were assigned a driver who was not overly friendly.
