5.00I have been using TheBaqueano Private Shuttles for a few years now, and they never cease to impress. Their drivers are consistently reliable, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. If you are looking for a seamless travel experience in Costa Rica, I cannot recommend them enough. Punctuality & Communication During our recent trip in March from San Jose to Montezuma, the owner, Charles, handled our transport personally. He arrived in a spotless Suburban 20-30 minutes early and proactively reached out via text and call to let us know he was ready. That level of reliability takes all the stress out of a long travel day. The Journey & Amenities The 5-6 hour ride was exceptionally comfortable. Before we even pulled away from the hotel, we were offered: * Refreshments: A choice of water, juice, or Coke. * Entertainment: The Suburban was equipped with screens on the back of the seats, and Charles showed us how to watch movies to pass the time. Above and Beyond Service One of the best features of this company is their flexibility. We needed to stock up on supplies since we were staying at a villa in the jungle. Charles was happy to stop at a grocery store after the ferry. * The Cooler Service: Upon request, they provided a cooler for our food. * Heavy Lifting: Once we arrived at the villa, Charles went above and beyond by helping us unload all our suitcases, the groceries, and the cooler. Professionalism at Every Turn The communication remained excellent throughout the trip. On our final day, Charles texted to confirm our pickup and again arrived 30 minutes early. He even helped us find a lovely local restaurant to enjoy after we got off the ferry on our way back to San Jose. TheBaqueano Private Shuttles is a top-tier company. They are professional, patient, and highly knowledgeable about the area—they can even give you great advice on things to do based on your interests. 5.00I have used The Baqueno services a couple times and they’re very reasonably priced. I recently used their services for my 50th birthday in Costa Rica. I had my eye on a villa in Quepos for three years and booked it for my birthday. I always dreamt of my two brothers and I celebrating my 50th birthday together in CR with our lady friends. I contacted Charles and he asked for our destination and plans and he was great and gave me some positive feedback on how he could make things easier for us. He coordinated picking up two of our three lady friends and meeting us at the airport. My brothers and I took a 5 hour flight and were in line for Immigration for almost 2 hours and we finally walked out of the airport Charles was there waiting for us and took us to his huge SUV. We open up the door and two of our lady friends were there and it was a pleasure to see them. Charles offered us various drinks that he had in his cooler for everyone. We all got in the truck and headed to Jaco which is a 90 minute drive. Charles called my brother’s lady friend and coordinated pickup with her and we picked her up on the outskirts of Jaco. When we were close to the villa we stopped at a grocery store to pickup groceries. The road to the villa was not paved and you definitely need a 4x4 truck to get to it and thankfully that’s what Charles had. We arrived at the villa and we all removed our luggage and groceries with Charles helping as well. After we finished unloading luggage he confirmed the pickup time 4 days later and he leaves. During our last night he checked in to make sure we were good and to confirm the pickup time which was 10am. The next morning Charles arrived at 915am ready to pick us up. Since he was early my lady friend cooked breakfast for him. While he ate breakfast we finished packing up our suitcases and checked our rooms to make sure we had everything. Then we packed everything in the SUV and had a nice peaceful drive back to our hotel.
