Tbilisi is the capital of Georgia and is located in the eastern part of the country on both sides of the Mtkvari (Kura) River. The city is located at the intersection of Europe and Asia and runs along the historic "Silk Road".

Narikala Fortress

The main sights of the city, Typical Tbilisi houses with balconies, Narikala fortress , Anchiskhati church (6th century), Holy Trinity Cathedral, Catholic and Gregorian churches, Muslim Mosque, Synagogue, Ateshga - temple of pagans are located in this area. The tour continues outside the city wall, which surrounds Old Tbilisi.

The name of the city-Tbilisi is based on the legend of the king Vakhtang Gorgasali IV century. The word “tbili” means “warm”. Today, the king’s sculpture looks from the Metekhi plateau to the famous sulfur baths, in the heart of Old Tbilisi.
