You can have a fun filled private tour with a local lad and some of his family (most frequently his Mum).

Nathaniel says "I have researched lots of information on the local area and am always learning and adding more every day".

The tour is operated by a 15 year old with assistance from mum.

We offer a unique youthful perspective on the history of the town of Fort William. I will lead you through the entire High Street giving you a tale or two of what happened here in the past and how life looks here now. We stop at some of the iconic buildings and monuments and I have a story or two that is not so well known!

Fort William has been a trend setter in its day and houses quite a few artefacts that can only be seen in 2 or 3 places in the whole of Britain!

We can’t wait to share it all with you.

We have a great chat about how this chap and his car got up Ben Nevis. We will walk the length of the pedestrianised town centre, Ponting out historical details and sharing local stories. Concluding at the end of the West highland way, before visiting the old Fort and returning to the start position or a mutually agreed end point.

This tour is a Fort William must-do! Nathaniel and his mum led us along a leisurely tour of the High Street, sharing interesting historical insights along the way. They are both delightful and lovely to chat with, and in addition to learning about the Fort William history, we were able to ask them questions about life in Fort William and Scotland in general, which was very interesting. Learning about the area from true locals is the best way to go, especially when they're so much fun! Thank you both!

This was an excellent walking tour. Libby and I would highly recommend it. Nathaniel and his mum provided a very entertaining and informative history of Fort William pointing out things we would have otherwise never known. Thank you.

This tour was not only informational, but full of good fun and high spirits! Meeting locals when you travel can be difficult, but is by far best way to learn about a place. That’s exactly what you do on this tour, and it was a wonderful way to spend time learning about Fort William. From the early days through to modern times, you learned about the local history by actually visiting key sites. And of course, Nathaniel is a fantastic host! What a special young person he is. He and his family are the perfect local experts who will give you the insiders view on the town. This is a very special experience, meeting such terrific people. Absolutely highly recommended!

A great way to learn about the history of Fort William’s High Street. Nathaniel (age 15) was very knowledgeable. His mom accompanied us as well, and both were a delight.
