This private walking tour will take you to experience the real charm of Rishikesh and learn more about the culture and religion. As Rishikesh is a small town, walking is the best way to visit many important destinations. You will see Sivananda Ashram, Market, River Ganga, Ram Jhula and some ashrams and temples. The highlights of this tour is the Ganga Aarti Ceremony in Parmarth Niketan. During the tour you will not only learn about Rishikesh but also the importance of the Ganga & Hindu religion. Approx total walking distance is 3.5 kms.

Sometime it takes more time in visiting places depending on crowd. Visiting times are little flexible. Extra time can be spent in market or more detailed explaination will be given at each place if less traffic.

We had a lovely day with Chakshu on the ashram walking tour. He was so patient and allowed us to stop in many stores along the way. He offered insight and history into the different ashrams, purchased water and Chai for us during some stops, and his English was perfect. During the tour we discovered the Beatles ashram was closed because of updated winter hours. He was fast to recommend another temple to visit instead and we hiked up to Bhootnath Temple and had a wonderful experience. The tour concluded with an amazing Arrti Ganga experience and Chakshu stayed with us for the entire 90 minute celebration, advising us when to leave and beat the crowds. Highly recommend this tour. Thank you Chakshu!

Dinesh was an excellent guide, not only was he very knowledgeable about all the sites, he gave a lot of flexibility, patience, and attention to detail. I’m not in the best shape and he didn’t mind taking breaks for me and even got us extra water. It was a really special experience and I wouldn’t highly recommend the tour, and especially Dinesh as a guide. 🙏🏻

Sunny was a fantastic guide and felt like an instant friend. He explained things so clearly and the tour was the perfect pace. We didn’t have long in Rishikesh so this was perfect to dive straight in. Would highly recommend!

Sunny guided us through the famous ghats, where we witnessed the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti ceremony—a truly spiritual experience. We also strolled along the iconic Laxman Jhula, enjoying beautiful views of the Ganges and surrounding hills. Sunny’s passion for Rishikesh and his friendly, approachable nature made the tour feel like a journey with a friend rather than a guide. I had a walking tour with them no doubt they have the best guides for that. I have enjoyed my tour of Rishikesh we went to Ram jhula, Geeta Bhawan, Beatles ashram & ganga aarti at Parmarth niketan. Sunny took me all places and he's best for the tours.
