• The Dogashima cruise may be canceled due to weather or sea conditions.
• Japanese monkeys live freely in nature, so sightings aren’t guaranteed. In that case, we’ll visit Toi Gold Mine or Ryugu Sea Cave.
• Depending on your pickup location and traffic, the number of stops may be reduced.

Shuzen-ji Temple
Shuzenji Onsen Town Known as the oldest hot spring town in Izu, Shuzenji offers charming stone-paved streets, peaceful strolls through the Bamboo Grove, relaxing foot baths, and a visit to the historic Shuzenji Temple. It’s a perfect place to enjoy a slow, serene atmosphere.
Toi Kinzan
Toi Gold Mine A historic gold mine that flourished during the Edo period. You can walk through actual mine tunnels, learn about traditional gold mining techniques, see a massive gold bar on display, and even try gold panning. It’s an educational and fun experience for all ages. This site may be visited as an alternative if the Dogashima cruise is canceled due to weather conditions.

5.00Sunny is an amazing tour guide, customizing everything to the group’s preferences. We got to see some amazing waterfalls, sea caves, scenery, and even learn some history at one of the stops. We got to eat at a local sushi restaurant at our lunch stop and also get some things from the shops along the way. Highly recommend your tour with Sunny if you’re visiting Izu, Mt. Fuji, or any of the surrounding areas. Or if you’re in Tokyo or other major cities, the Izu/Shuzenji area is definitely worth adding to your itinerary. We all had a blast and enjoyed the day thoroughly.

5.00This day trip was lovely! Sun organized a great day to a variety of locations around Izu. We saw so many different landscapes and felt he offered a more off the beaten path experience. Throughout the day we primarily saw locals enjoying their Sunday and felt our time in Izu was rather authentic. When the cruise tour was not able to run due to the high tide, Sun did not skip a beat and offered us alternative sightseeing opportunities. Sun was an incredible driver, navigating the very windy roads of Izu with ease. His car was clean and comfortable for the day. Sun was very professional, knowledgable, and receptive to our many questions about Japan and Japanese culture. Would highly recommend exploring Izu and taking this tour with Sun's company!

5.00Great your and the guide was very fun and entertaining. Took us all over izu to some great sites. We especially enjoyed the monkeys we got to feed.
