We have the privilege here in French Polynesia to swim with these beautiful mammals in their breeding grounds. While we focus on being respectful towards these humpback whales, your safety is also a huge priority. Our guides are qualified and experienced in this sector and will brief you in all you need to know about these mammals and their history.
This activity does require some physical aptitude for those wanting to swim with them, you can also observe from the boat.

You will embark on a private "half day" 4 hour Whale Watching Adventure with fully qualified and experienced captain and guide. During the tour, you will be searching for Humpback whales all while your guide is giving explanations about these beautiful mammals. In French Polynesia we are very privileged to have the opportunity to swim with these marine mammals. * Please keep in mind that this activity requires some physical fitness as we have regulations in place to minimize the impact on the mammals. These are wild animals in their natural habitat and sometimes this requires extended search times, with your safety being our priority we are forced in certain situations to remain on the boat. More information is presented on the boat.

5.00Our private tour with Teoni and Julian was OUTSTANDING!! We felt safe the entire time, and we really appreciated that the whales' well-being was the priority when approaching them. We were incredibly lucky that there were two male singer whales that we got to hear and see. Teoni and Julian were able to locate them super quickly, and once in the water, Teoni helped us find them so that we could be in view when they came up from the depths. My husband is not a strong swimmer and gets sea sick easily. Teoni was very accommodating, encouraging my husband to hold onto a swim buoy that was attached to him to help ease the strain while going through the waves. When it became too much sea sick-wise for my husband, we were able to pivot to the lagoon where we enjoyed sea turtles and eagle rays since it was a private tour. 5.00My wife and I booked a private half day whale watching tour with Teoni. The price was similar to other private whale tours of the same length. We met on a local beach in the afternoon and headed into the water. Teoni explained the history and lore of the whales in Polynesian culture and then began looking for whales. After a while we found a pair of whales that no other boat had found and we went into the water. The baby was playing around in the water while we were swimming nearby while the mom was cautiously hovering below. We were able to swim alone with the whales for almost 10 minutes before any other boats showed up. Once many other people started jumping in the water, the whales started swimming away. I saw the mom come up from the depths for the first time and it felt like a submarine surfacing. The experience is amazing! I definitely recommend a private tour. It seems like the best option if you want maximum time in the water with the whales. The experience is best for strong swimmers, though you will be floating at the surface the whole time. We also stopped by two spots in the lagoon on the way back from deep water and jumped in the water. We saw a lot of different sea animals, though the water was a little murky. The camera was able to capture it all though.

5.00Swimming with humpback whales in Moorea was beyond anything I could have dreamed of. We booked a private tour with Aimeho Private Escape, and our guide Teoni made the entire experience unforgettable. His deep knowledge and love for the ocean shone through, and he created such a safe and respectful environment to connect with these gentle giants. Floating in the open ocean as whales glided beneath us was absolutely surreal—time seemed to stop. One whale did a full breach just 15 feet away from us! I would travel all the way back from the States just to have those seconds one more time, it was incredible. If you’re in Moorea, don’t hesitate—this is the tour you want. Private, personal, and truly once-in-a-lifetime.

5.00Teoni and the crew gave us two truly fantastic adventures! We booked private tours which was well worth it. He was incredibly knowledgeable and respectful of the marine life and did everything in his power to give us an unforgettable time. He was patient and understanding with my wife who did not have too much snorkeling experience. He arranged a photographer who did a great job capturing the moments for us. Cannot recommend him highly enough!

We were lucky enough to witness a mother and calf up close, and even got to hear a singing whale — an unforgettable moment. The entire experience was seamless, magical, and beyond anything we could have imagined. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a once-in-a-lifetime encounter!

5.00What a great experience! My wife & I weren’t sure whether to join a group or go private but private was the right way to go. This allowed us to spend as much time as possible with the whales and less risk of a large crowd scaring them away. The crew were great, in the knowledge they shared, their hospitality and their respect towards the marine life. We felt well taken care of. For those on a honeymoon or those who really appreciate enjoying nature with no crowds, this is the way to swim with the whales. We would do this again.

5.00This had to be one of the most amazing experiences of my life. When the whales swam towards us I had tears in my eyes. Teoni is the best guide you can find, knowledgeable, patient, experienced with a good eye almost spotting whales far away. He even dragged us in water when we were having difficulty swimming for the last bit. I would come back and book this again for the magic moments with whales.

5.00Very nice accommodating crew. Weather was overcast, rainy at times and very windy which made for large swells which caused difficulty seeing over the waves. They gave us rain gear to help stay warm. They did their best to get us up close to the whales and we did get within 50 yards of them. Also were able to get good pictures from the boat at the end of the tour. I think it would have been more successful if the weather had been better. Crew was great and recommend them.
