I'm Simone Vergamini, "Best Sommelier of Tuscany 2023", 3rd place at the Best Sommelier of Italy 2018, 2021, 2022, and it will be a pleasure to accompany you to discover the best wineries. During the journeys I will tell you the history of the area and its traditions, the vines and the peculiarities of the area. It will be a pleasure to answer your questions and I will put all my knowledge at your service so that you return home enriched.

We will visit 2 wineries representative of the denominations of the province of Lucca and, after touching the vineyards and visiting the cellars, we will taste the wines produced and local delights!

"Light lunch" option includes lunch + 5/8 wines depending on cellar

For pick-ups in places more than 15 km from the center of Lucca will be calculated a surcharge that I will inform you in advance, to be paid by credit card at the end of the tour

Visit of winery representative of the territory, walk in the vineyards and wine tasting that includes wines (4 to 6 depending on the cellar) + extra virgin olive oil + selection of seasonal products. The wineries we will visit are mainly family-run, certified organic and simply beautiful!

We had an amazing day with Simone! Everything was absolutely perfect and so well organized. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about wine and the area surrounding Lucca. The two wineries he took us to were lovely and the wine and staff were fantastic! We ate delicious food and drank marvelous wine all day. Don’t miss out on this incredible day!!

This is the ideal way to do a wine tour. Simone, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the area and beyond just the vineyards we were visiting. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel a few km outside Lucca, so no driving was involved for those of us doing the wine tasting. We opted for the light lunch, and this was modified in advance to suit dietary requirements. It was a very relaxed day and a perfect way to see the area and visit some vineyards and taste the wines. It was also a way to get to know a bit more about the area and Italian life in general during the driving. Both vineyards we visited are quite small and had a very interesting range of wines (and were on the wine list of the 4* hotel we were staying in). They were also situated in different areas so gave an interesting contrast. A day trip with a local expert is definitely one of the best days out if you want to learn something about the area and the wines.

Simone was an amazing guide, we would have reviewed him even higher if possible! So knowledgeable, about wines and the Lucca area. We loved learning from him and he went out of his way to pick two perfect wineries for our visit. They were wonderful and the day couldn’t have gone better. We highly recommend Simone!!

Wonderful experience. We visited two small wineries where we had a delicious lunch, tasted many wines, and a few olive oils. All within 30 minutes of Lucca’s city center.

The entire experience was perfect .Simone was a gracious and knowledgeable host and we enjoyed both wineries and the lunch was absolutely delicious as well. The views from the wineries were also part of the splendor.

Simone picked us up at our house in Lucca, and took us to our first of 2 wine producers the first Valle del Sole- First we got a tour of the facility and learned how they made wine in this region, then we sampled 6 of their wines along with some of their olive oil, and a few snacks. The 2nd stop was at Colle Di Bordocheo- we also got a tour here, but learned a bit more about how olive oil is produced. We got to taste 5 of their wines along with their olive oil. Both locations had fantastic wine, they both had friendly and welcoming staff and it was great to have some wine that is really only available in the area. Later that night we had dinner in town and found some of the wine we had tasted on the menu, and we were able to enjoy if with our meal! Simone planned a great day for us, explained more about the regions and the types of wines that are grown.

This tour was very enjoyable. We viewed beautiful Tuscan countryside, ate delicious food, and of course tasted some excellent wines. The service at both wineries was friendly and attentive. Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable.
