This comprehensive tour focuses on the the major highlights of Yellowstone’s Lower Loop route. This can be a tour that is mostly vehicle-based on Yellowstone’s extensive road system and is mild in terms of physical activity. If you are interested in a more active trip, we can emphasize more time spent outside the car walking on Yellowstone’s famed boardwalk systems and short hikes. Want to see Yellowstone's most iconic features, with an expert naturalist as your driver and guide, then come hit the road with us!

Our staff is composed of guides that have an extraordinary passion for wildlife and nature. All of our guides have a minimum of 10 years experience. Grand Teton National Park

Your guide will greet you with coffee and a light breakfast at 6 am (earlier or later possible) at your hotel or accommodation. You will then begin the northward drive through Grand Teton en route to Yellowstone. Usually, this amounts to about 2 hours. Vistas are incredible in the morning light and you will see some of the best on this drive. Timing is good to catch wildlife during this twilight time.

Yellowstone National Park

Upon passing through Yellowstone’s South Gate, you will immediately be greeted by a change in scenery as we move into the Yellowstone caldera where volcanic geology is on full display. Before too long, you will begin to see the first signs of geothermal activity by way of steaming vents creating vapor trails. We will then arrive to the parks primary geyser basins and most famous feature, Old Faithful. We will spend the next few hours exploring boardwalks in various geyser basins. We will then move to the Canyon area. Here we will see some of the finest scenery Yellowstone has to offer including giant waterfalls and one extremely unique canyon. Short hike options are plentiful. Hayden valley and Yellowstone Lake highlight the remaining time in Yellowstone. Be on the lookout for wildlife as this portion offers some of the best viewing opportunities. The return trip travels back through Grand Teton National Park en route to your Jackson accommodation.

An amazing day in Yellowstone! Gus took care of all of the details for us and made it easy for us to enjoy the park. Once you tell him what you want to see, they plan a great visit for you where you can sit back and enjoy the show (bears, bison, canyons, etc). Gus is incredibly knowledgeable about everything to do with Yellowstone, from the animals to the geology to the history. You ask, he has an answer. My parents are tough to please and Gus handled their questions and concerns with ease. 10/10 would love to book again if we ever make it back out there!

A trip to Jackson hole and the Tetons is not complete unless you do a tour to see wild life, what an incredible experience. Our guide Brett was experienced knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with. Social media can only guide you so far on how to find wild life. You need a local to take you. Don’t cheep out go with this company you will not be disappointed. Hey don’t have equipment to take awesome photos, not to worry there guides have top notch equipment. Very impressed and had a memorable experience. That is what life is about. Can’t take it with you when your gone but you can share experiences of travel and explorations with others!

We had a great time with our guide Gus. He is very knowledgeable and knew the spots to see animals. We were fortunate to see a pack of wolves, bison, elk, and of course Old Faithful. The van was nice and comfortable and lunch was very tasty. We definitely recommend this company!

My husband and I had an incredible day with Teton Wilderness Tours and our guide, Gus, who made the whole experience unforgettable. He’s not only super knowledgeable about the Jackson and Yellowstone area, but also just a great person to spend the day with. Laid-back, fun, and clearly passionate about what he does. Gus tailored the Yellowstone Highlights Tour to our interests and made it an epic day. We started with a few scenic stops on the way into the park, including spotting wolves and seeing tons of bison up close. The main event was a 10-mile out-and-back hike to the Yellowstone River, and it absolutely blew us away. The trail was quiet and peaceful, with some incredible thermal features we got to explore up close without any crowds. We walked away with so many insights about the region’s history, wildlife and geology- things we never would have picked up on our own. Gus also gave us killer recommendations for restaurants and on hiking trails in Grand Teton. There are a lot of tour operators in Jackson, but if you're looking for a private, off-the-beaten-path way to experience Yellowstone with a guide who really knows their stuff, look no further. This is it. We can't recommend Teton Wilderness Tours enough and look forward to booking with them again when we return!

I highly recommend Teton Wilderness Tours. Our guide Brett was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Not just about Grand Teton National Park but about everything natural and then some. He went above and beyond to make our sunset tour a special one, uncovering some hidden gems within the park.

Great tour. Our guide Gus was very friendly, knowledgeable and flexible. He answered every question we asked, which is a lot with 6 young kids. He was open to our changes and requests, and had a great trip planned based on our party breakdown. He took all the stress off of traveling in the park. I would highly recommend, and will use them again in our future travels.

Our all day trip to Yellowstone with Neil was amazing! We saw a grizzly bear, moose, and many elk and bison. We stopped at all the highlights and had a delightful picnic lunch by the river. Neil was very knowledgeable about the Park, its history and geology, and he had wonderful anecdotes about all the animals we saw. I highly recommend this tour.

We participated in the half-day Teton Tour with Brad and a full day Yellowstone Tour with Brett. Brad and Brett have a wealth of knowledge regarding the ecosystem, animal welfare, history of the parks, indigenous culture within the land, and science behind various landmarks and geology. What’s more, they genuinely seem to enjoy what they do and providing their guests with this knowledge. Company will organize your pick up/drop off location, provide coffee and small breakfast bites for each tour (and a full picnic lunch for full day tours), and unprecedented fun! HIGHLY recommend!

Amazing family-friendly tours with Gus, a 1/2 day in Grand Tetons and a day trip to Yellowstone. Gus was a great guide, extremely knowledgeable and entertaining, including with our 7 year old daughter! He made the most of our limited time by planning everything to a “t.” Highly recommend!!!
