Whether you want to see waterfalls, wildflowers, enjoy a quiet walk on a forested path, or climb a 6,000 foot peak, we will customize these trips based on your desired distance, difficulty, and destination. After booking, our office will contact you to discuss your preferences.

Hike will meet our office in downtown Asheville at 8:30am, and will last approximately 4-5 hours including transportation time. Snacks are included, but transportation is not. Transportation between Asheville and the trailhead (including hotel pickup) can be added for an additional fee. Your guide can provide trekking poles upon request at no additional charge.

We hike rain or shine! Hikers should arrive prepared for all weather conditions and pack a rain jacket, an extra warm layer, and water. We may cancel or reschedule your hike in the event of severe or dangerous weather conditions.

I had a wonderful half-day birthday hike with Bev! I occasionally have knee issues, so we took it pretty easy and went up a fire tower (this was really cool and also very windy, but we did it!) and also visited a couple of waterfalls. Bev was very prepared and had extra warm clothes, hiking poles, all the snacks I could ever want, and even a birthday treat. She took lots of pictures and was great company. I loved chatting with her about books and life. BRHC handled all of the logistics well and I found it easy to organize my trip with them as a solo traveler. Hope to hike with you again Bev!

Bev was such an exceptional tour guide. My daughter and I loved our half day hike with her. She was so knowledgeable and we felt so safe and entertained with her being our guide. What a fun day - we will def come see her again for a full day during the summer/ fall.
Highlight of my trip was Mt. Pisgah.

I highly recommend a privately guided mountain hike tour with Tamara. It was an incredible hike up Mt. Pisgah. Tamara is very knowledgeable about the history of the area, specifically about the forests surrounding the Biltmore Estate and explained how the German forester, Carl Schenck, managed the Biltmore Estate forest and established the first forestry school . The hike was moderate, and the scenery breathtaking! Tamara brought delicious snacks and made this the most memorable hiking experience.

We had a wonderful time with Bev! We visited Asheville for our 30th anniversary. We had never been hiking in the mountains before, and she gave us the best experience! She is very knowledgeable and taught us a lot during the time we had with her. She even brought us a couple of blueberry muffins with candles to celebrate our anniversary by a waterfall. It was so thoughtful and unexpected. We also love all the pictures that she took of us during the hike. We highly recommend Bev and Blue Ridge Hiking Company! Her passion is contagious and we hope to hike again soon!

The Highlight of Our Trip – Bev Is Amazing! We had an absolutely incredible hike with Bev! We visited two gorgeous waterfalls, learned so much fascinating history along the way, and got to see parts of the mountains we never would’ve found on our own. Bev took us to the best, most peaceful spots — hardly another person around — and captured amazing photos for us so we could just soak up the beauty without worrying about taking pictures. You can tell Bev truly loves these mountains, and her passion is contagious. We left feeling like we shared that love even more deeply after hiking with her. She made sure we were well fed, well cared for, and totally prepared for a fantastic morning. Our only regret is booking a half day — we’re already planning another trip just so we can hike with Bev again. Highly, highly recommend!

Our tour guide, Eli, was outstanding! She was extremely passionate about nature, very knowledgeable, and made the hike engaging for everyone. My kids had a fantastic time exploring with her, and the half-day tour flew by. We truly appreciated her energy and expertise—highly recommend!

We had an amazing experience hiking with Traci from Blue Ridge Hiking Company. From the moment we met her, she made our family feel completely at ease. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the trails, the local plants, and the history of the area. We learned so much along the way. Traci did a fantastic job engaging with our boys, keeping them curious and entertained throughout the hike. She balanced fun and safety perfectly, making sure we enjoyed every part of the experience while staying comfortable and confident on the trail.
