Nice small group tour, but fact check where you are taken

3.00Our guide, Elvis, was very pleasant and full of interesting but sometimes gossipy tidbits about the making of the movie. He was a good driver and took us to many of the Sound of Music filming locations however my disappointment comes with where we were taken to see where the opening scene from the movies Hills are Alive sequence was shot. It was actually shot in Germany, Mehlweg Bavaria on what is now private property. We were taken to a hill outside of Salzburg, Gaisberg 11. When questioned Elvis repeated that this was from the opening of the movie, not the picnic scene. Just feels like it's a little unnecessary to be deceitful about it, either that or Elvis has been misinformed. I hope I'm wrong about this but the pictures taken on my iPhone clearly states where we were and the shots don't match up with the historic shots from the movie. Otherwise it was enjoyable trip with a nice small group and I would recommend it.
Highly Recommended - book early to avoid disappointment.

5.00The tour took us to places outside of Salzburg that were wonderful to see.. Our tour guide was a highlight. I would highly recommend the tour to others looking for a 4 hr option. Try to go after March/winter months. Many fountains close down so you don't see the beauty of those things, but that didn't take away from the fun of the tour.
This tour was one of our favorite things!

5.00A fabulous 4 hour tour with Francizsca and a small group of 8. We were taken to many filming locations. We had a wonderful experience with listening to songs from the movie whilst driving through the hills outside Salzburg which were used in the film. Our guide Francizsca was knowledgeable about all things to do with the movie as well as general relevant historical facts. The planning of the tour, timing and delivery of information and facts was excellent. We highly recommended this small tour. Francizsca was easy to talk to, friendly and made the tour very pleasant.

5.00Elvis was our guide, and he did a fantastic job! He not only told and showed us things from the movie, but he gave us information about the real Maria, Julie Andrew’s, Christopher Plummer, the history in and around Salzburg and Austria. Elvis gave us time to get out to take pictures and take a break. Elvis was a great guide would HIGHLY recommend him and this tour again and again!

5.00Had the absolute best time on the sound of music tour. The small group made it feel really personal. Elvis was a fantastic tour guide, he had amazing knowledge and stories of the film and the stories origins. He also doubled as an excellent camera man. Would highly recommend going on bobs tours over the bigger tours.
