Following the Von Trapp story, we will visit several movie locations of the "Sound of Music". This includes a short city tour, the pond the children fell into, the 16-going-on17-gazebo and of course the wedding church. Your enthusiastic tour guide will give you lots of information about the filming of the Sound of Music, the real von Trapp family and Austrian culture and lifestyle in general.

5.00Really nice tour. Our guide, Marcus, was very knowledgeable, spoke great English, and made the trip both informative and fun. We saw lots of beautiful sights, and I liked that the tour was not soley focused on the Sound of Music, even thought we included all those sites as well. Hallstatt was lovely and wr had adequate time to enjoy each destination.

5.00Perfect for those who love The Sound of Music musical. It was magical. For those not familiar with the movie, the tour might be nice but not be so meaningful.

5.00It was really cool to see the special places where Sound of Music was filmed. Hallstat is a cute town. If you want.to take the Funicular to the viewing platform, I suggest you do it early. The queue gets really backed up with the crowds and tourist buses. Our guide, Andreas was great and drove our small group around in a minivan. He knew the best ways to travel and where to park to avoid crowds! He shared alot of facts about the real von Trapp family as well as information about the actors and filming for the movie. Long day but very fun.
