On this tour you will learn about all the history and flavors that represent the province of Puerto Plata, how they live and to which the locals are dedicated such as schools, universities and public transport, as well as you will be entertained to taste the types of rum and a delicious dessert in the chocolate factory. The central park surrounded by the old Victorian houses, the cathedral San Felipe with its beautiful architecture. we will stop at the sea wall to appreciate the beautiful view of the Atlantic sea where the rock of Neptune is. Catedral San Felipe
Its foundation dates from 1502, but due to the fire caused by the restorers in 1863 it was completely destroyed. And it wasn’t until 1956 that it was completely restored, although in 2008 it was remodeled. The cathedral has great religious value for Dominicans and is one of the most important pilgrimage points in the whole Dominican Republic.
Paseo de Dona Blanca
Its history dates back to 1898 when Isidoro Rainieri and Bianca Franceschini, natives of Italy, arrived in Puerto Plata and realizing that a hotel was needed to serve travelers decided to found the Lodging of Commerce, to which they later changed the name to Hotel Europa.

Diomi was an excellent guide showed us all the places and took us to the parasol street, the pink street, the seawall, the amber factory and Larimar showed us everything and told us all about the history of Dominican Republic. 5.00Diomi was our driver several times during our stay in the DR. He was fantastic! He communicated quickly and professionally and was a very safe driver. He went above and beyond getting us to where we needed to go. He arrived on time and was very friendly. He offers a lot of tour options and had good recommendations for the places we wanted to visit. We will definitely book another tour with Diomi if we come back to Puerta Plata!
