On this tour you will learn about all the history and flavors that represent the province of Puerto Plata, how they live and to which the locals are dedicated such as schools, universities and public transport, as well as you will be entertained to taste the types of rum and a delicious dessert in the chocolate factory. We will visit the pink street, a walk in the parasol street, a cigar factory to see how the cigars are made, the museum of amber and barley. The central park surrounded by the old Victorian houses, the cathedral San Felipe with its beautiful architecture. we will stop at the sea wall to appreciate the beautiful view of the Atlantic sea where the rock of Neptune is. You can select the places to visit and you can also choose the starting time.

Catedral San Felipe
Its foundation dates from 1502, but due to the fire caused by the restorers in 1863 it was completely destroyed. And it wasn’t until 1956 that it was completely restored, although in 2008 it was remodeled. The cathedral has great religious value for Dominicans and is one of the most important pilgrimage points in the whole Dominican Republic.
Paseo de Dona Blanca
Its history dates back to 1898 when Isidoro Rainieri and Bianca Franceschini, natives of Italy, arrived in Puerto Plata and realizing that a hotel was needed to serve travelers decided to found the Lodging of Commerce, to which they later changed the name to Hotel Europa.

5.00Amazing experience!!! Diomi was so great to show us part of Dominican and share some neat facts. Helped us out getting photos and being patient with us bringing our daughter.

5.00We did a private city tour to Puerto Plata today, our tour guide was Diomi Caminero and we were picked up in a van that was just for us (very pleasant). We went to jewellery cocoa/coffee factories and visited various sights such as the old fort, Pink Street, Umbrella Street, Centralpark and the old cathedral. It was a very pleasant experience with our tour guide. He is very friendly, speaks good English, gives you time and he can tell you a lot about the people, the culture and the history of the country. He feels he knows half the city, which gives you the feeling of security. All in all, it was a fabulous experience that I will always remember as soon as I think about the Dominican Republic. This tour is worth every cent and so is our guide. So if someone is in Puerto Plata and wants to get to know the city and the people, book the city tour with Diomi Caminero!

5.00We had an amazing experience with Diomi touring both Sosua and Puerto Plata. He is extremely knowledgeable, fun and generous with his time. He treated us like friends from the moment we met him and made it a very memorable day. He even took exceptional pictures and sent them to us to help capture our memories. I fully recommend Diomi. He was great for our family of 4. His van is clean, comfortable with excellent air conditioning. Thank you!
