It's only youself surrounded by nature and no one else ! Be aware that this is a physically demanding journey, approximately a 30 minutes walking, wear sneakers, water shoes or sandals with a back-strap, use sunscreen, although the presence of mosquitoes is practically non-existent, it is recommended to use mosquito repellent.

The excursion experience with Jonathon was nothing less than amazing. From his coworker giving us ideas on what to do in the DR to the staff at Puerto Palata Rejoya River Excursion outstanding customer service. This will be one of the reason we will be visiting Dominican Republic again, very soon!

Jonathan is the best guide/driver in the Dominican Republic. He picked us up at the cruise port in a clean, air-conditioned van and took us straight to the 7 waterfalls. He joined us at the 7 waterfalls and took pictures of us as we slid down the falls. Instead of heading to town for the usual tourist activities, we asked Jonathan what else we could do outdoors to see the authentic Dominican Republic. He quickly suggested the Puerto Plata Rejoya River Excursion, and off we went. The hike is moderate, and the falls were majestic. We spent the afternoon swimming in the falls and had the place to ourselves! If you are looking to escape the crowds and be outdoors, this is the place, and Jonathan is the man to take you there. I highly recommend this excursion and Jonathan!
