Along with your local Chef, you will discover the unique flavors of Puerto Rican gastronomy while learning about our heritage and culture passed down through food. As part of this class, you will visit a local farmer's market, choose Caribbean staples for ingredients, and learn to cook some traditional dishes. Ask your chef for their secret dessert recipe!

Dive into the world of Puerto Rican gastronomy with this fun interactive cooking class! Start your culinary journey in the company of our friend and chef at a local farmers’ market, where you’ll pick out your ingredients of the day and talk to locals. Learn about our staple foods as well as agricultural practices on the island before moving on to your cooking lesson. Together with your chef, you will prepare the ingredients as they explain the cultural significance of the dish you will be working on. Time to roll up your sleeves and make your own authentic Puerto Rican dish! Follow family recipes, get new cooking techniques, and while seasoning, don’t forget to add a pinch of amor! Private experiences available upon request. *Please note that this tour requires a minimum of 9 participants in total to run. If we do not have enough participants for a date, the tour will be cancelled and refunded in full.

Farmers market was great and I learned a lot, but there were too many people in the group. They were good about dietary restrictions though.

We came with a group of 4 girls for a bachelorette party, it was the best decision we made. Not only did we really enjoy our experience learning about Puerto Rican cuisine and how to make one of our favorite Puerto Rican dishes, but we also were given the recipe to take home with us && we got to know the chef has a restaurant in San Juan named Niche which we went to that same night and ended up being our favorite restaurant we tried on our 5 day trip (and we had a lot of good food). The area where we cooked had a beautiful view and the people leading the class were just phenomenal. Amazing experience. Highly recommended!!

This was such an informative and fun event. We had made such yummy food. Patricia was a great person, teacher and I hope she continues teaching this class for many years. 🇵🇷🥰

This tour was amazing! We learned about history and food in Puerto Rico before the cooking started which really helped set the scene. We got to speak with local vendors at the farmers market (they were really friendly) and I made my own plantain dish and the chef gave us her secret recipe, can't wait to recreate it when I get home! Great vibes overall and definitely recommend for foodies looking to have an authentic and fun experience.
