This tour offers a range of experiences from moderate to challenging, depending on your fitness level. We’ll start with a hike down to the river, where a thrilling jump marks the beginning of your adventure. Swim through the crystal-clear turquoise waters of the caves, discover a hidden waterfall, leap off canyon cliffs, and marvel at ancient Taino native markings. This tour can take around 3-4 hours depending on the group. Charco Azul & Cuevas Arenales translates to Blue Pool & Sand Cave and is located in Vega Baja, PR.

Was a great tour. My daughter has autism and was able to enjoy. The guides helped us all along the way. Highly recommend this experience. We are local and had no idea how great this place is. But for sure the guides are essential to having a great experience. Thank you to Abdiel, Kevin y Juan Jose.

Juan Jo (pronounced Hu-an Ho), Abdiel and Liana were AMAZING! First off, the meeting point was easy to access and we were provided with all the information required before hand. This made it easy to reach the final destination which is about 10-15 min on a narrow, windy road. Parking is provided and maintained by a local family ($5 fee) who also provide a bathroom and sell puertorrican limbers (look it up on google, they come in handy post trip). The tour lasts between 3-4 hrs depending on overall skill level and group size, and begins with a small downhill hike on potentially slippery terrain (hence why water shoes are not recommended, but closed-toe hiking sandals are fine), and you jump into the river from about 10ft high. There are a couple of caves that are explored, some water falls and a couple of other natural jumping platforms along with a small canyon. The guides are knowledgeable in the flora and fauna, and come ready to assist at all times. I went with an 8 and 11 year old children of varying skill levels (and fear factors), and ended with an unforgettable adventure of exploring nature and overcoming personal fears (like heights). Remember the family providing parking? They also provide a taxi service back to the parking lot for a fee (as it's all going up a hill). Overall this is a must for anyone that visits Puerto Rico and wants to avoid the over-saturated turistic areas, while staying close to San Juan. Well worth the money.

Such a kickass experience. Highly recommend. Unbelievably fun and great time seeing two separate caves. Jumping into the water from a semi-high height. Swimming. Hiking. GREAT TIME.

This was simply an amazing experience at the caves of Charco Azul 🌿✨ Being surrounded by nature and taking in its beauty was truly unforgettable. Abdiel, our guide, was incredible — super knowledgeable and passionate. He grew up exploring these caves, and you can feel how much he loves sharing this experience with others. Highly recommend it 100%! It will not disappoint 🙌💙

We were 40 min late and the service was still top notch. Abdiel was patient and very supportive through this experience. I can’t swim and he made me feel so comfortable. He made sure we were safe and enjoyed the experience. I would do this again. Thank you so much Abdiel you were phenomenal.

Abdiel was a great tour guide. He was very kind and knowledgeable. I enjoyed rock climbing, cliff jumping, swimming in caves, hiking, and learning about the animals and plants in Puerto Rico. I really got the full experience of the island during the tour. Definitely recommend for the best adventurous excursions to try out.
