One of Tromsø's main ambitions is participation in dogsled racing. Training of both dogs and people throughout the year is essential and summer is the time for new puppies first try at teamwork.
Take part in the most fun part of our job, spending time with the little ones as they race to see who will become the next star leader dog. Suitable for adults and always a hit with the kid

Children must be accompanied by an adult
If you are traveling with small children/infants and require a guaranteed car seat, you must bring your own or arrange for your own transportation. We cannot guarantee the availability of child seats in our transport.
The tour is sold as a complete package with all services included. Using your own transport is optional, but the price remains the same. Activity cannot be guaranteed in case of late arrival.
Minimum to run the tour is 2 persons
Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required

Extensive interactions with huskies!

5.00We actually were part of the training, carrying puppies out to the fields overlooking the fjord for their fist visit since being born several weeks ago. They learn to trust humans via such interactions. Then we took teenaged huskies on a leash for a "walk" - which really meant being pulled vigorously forward by the dog! It was loads of fun. The delcious homemade lunch was served in a Norwegian hut, with coffee and tea made in kettles over the open fire. Our host was genuinely enjoying teaching us about the huskies and their various activities throughout the year. This was an extremely enjoyable outing. Highly recommended for any dog-lover!

5.00I really loved this experience! It was great that you get picked up in town and taken out to where the dogs live. We first met the very young puppies. We sat in a circle and let them explore. We then took the older puppies for a walk. They are crazy and very strong! The employees how you how to attach the harness. They will certainly pull you. Be prepared. We did not walk them too far because it was rather hot outside the day I was there. Lastly, we got to see all the adult dogs and give them pets. We also got a nicely prepared lunch. The property was also beautiful.

5.00It was an amazing experience from the initial hike with the dogs, to puppy play time, and free time with the adult dogs. The views on the hike was magical in the snow. The fish stew was tasty and all the staff members were friendly and positive.

1.00We booked the Puppy Training Experience as a family, including our 3-year-old, and it was a big disappointment. The tour involved walking in deep snow — something that was not clearly mentioned beforehand. It was extremely difficult for our youngest to manage, and I ended up staying behind with her in the yurt while the rest of the family continued. As a result, I missed most of the experience despite paying the full adult price. After the tour, I reached out to the company, but their response was dismissive and lacked empathy. They claimed that “light snow is normal” and that other children had no issues, ignoring the fact that every child’s ability is different and that clearer communication upfront could have prevented this. They also stated that because I didn’t complain during the tour, then just assume everything was fine. Unfortunately, this attitude shows a lack of understanding of customer care or flexibility. I appreciate that weather and trail conditions vary, but the company’s defensive and impersonal response made the experience even more disappointing. This tour is not suitable for families with young children, and the company’s approach to feedback does not inspire confidence. I would not recommend this activity to families looking for a genuine, inclusive experience.

5.00Had a wonderful day! Pick up and drop off from a very central location. Time with the puppies on a training walk and exercise and then a hike with the older dogs. Lunch, a slice of cake and coffee were included. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended!

5.00What a fun experience! Had the best day with the dogs. We first took the puppies out for a walk which was a bit chaotic but so much fun. Then took a few older dogs out for a walk. Finally got to spend time in the dog yard and cuddle all the adults. They are very happy and loving dogs. Clearly well cared for and given plenty of affection all day. I was grateful for the waterproof clothes and boots they provide because it does get dirty. I highly recommend this tour. Especially if you’re a dog lover like me.

5.00So much fun! A definite must do! We had the opportunity to play with, cuddle and experience the husky puppies up front and personal. They are all well cared for and respected. We played training games with them. Met the older puppies and took them for a walk. And then interacted with the older dogs who were also so excited to get cuddles! A delicious fish soup lunch followed the experience.
