• A wonderful day at the Grand Egyptian Museum

  We enjoyed a Private all day GEM and Giza Plateau tour with Go Luxor Tours last month and it was hugely enjoyable. We were met on time at our Cairo downtown hotel by our guide Alaa, our A/C vehicle was comfortable and our driver well-versed in Cairo traffic etiquette - if you’ve been there you will know what I mean. Alaa was great, with near perfect English and a huge knowledge of her subject. She made the day for us. Firstly, the GEM. Absolutely no-one can fail to appreciate the splendour of the new museum and if you can, get there. We have seen nothing like it anywhere else, and I doubt that we ever will. The Design of the building alone is worth the trip - the grandeur of the entrance areas and the quality of the finishes and materials are a great credit not only to the Architects (Dublin designers) and to its builders, but also to the country and the vision of its people. The artefacts are staggering in their number and beauty and of course the Tutankhamen room is breathtaking - for the first time, everything is there. Alaa and Go Luxor took us round as much as it was possible to see in a half day and the narrative was made so clear. Well done Alaa. After the GEM, we travelled on to the Giza Plateau and a late lunch on the terrace at Khufu’s restaurant with its panoramic view of the Pyramids themselves, and then the Sphinx. All in all, an unforgettable day with Go Luxor Tours. I’ve mentioned in my previous Go Luxor Tours review how reliable we found them and the ease of both communication and online payment, so no need to repeat. Just give them a try if you are in Egypt - Michael will definitely sort out something really good for you. PS. We did the GEM first, with the Pyramids and Sphinx in the late afternoon. It seems to be the best way as the GEM got busier and busier as the day went on, as other tour groups seem to arrange the visits the other way around.

  We had an incredible experience with Go Luxor, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, our trip to Egypt felt seamless thanks to the amazing guides we were paired with, Yaya and Mike. Both were exceptionally knowledgeable, down-to-earth, patient, and professional, with a warmth that instantly put us at ease. Beyond helping us see all the must-visit sites, they truly went above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable every step of the way. They thoughtfully prepared us before entering busy areas, sharing what to watch out for, how to navigate conversations with vendors, and offering honest advice on where to eat and what to avoid.   We did a set of private tours of Giza, Saqqara, Aswan, Abu Simbel, Kom Okbo, and Luxor with Go Luxor Tours, including a Nile cruise. Mike did a great job of working with us to design the perfect Egypt trip. Yehya, our tour guide in Cairo and Giza, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. When we wanted to skip some of the touristy shopping stops, he didn't raise any objections. Mike himself was our tour guide in Aswan and Luxor. He kept everyone engaged and managed through the crowds at the temples. Our cruise ship (Le Fayan) was awesome, with nice accommodations and a friendly staff. The only frustration was the tipping culture in Egypt. I felt like I was constantly having to remember the recommended tips, and it got tiring. It would be great if there was an option to include the tips for van drivers, tour guides, and others in the overall pricing package. I have already recommended Go Luxor to friends and will continue to do so.

  Planning a trip to the other side of the world can be intimidating, but Go Luxor Tours turned it into an exciting, seamless, and exceptionally well-organized experience. The tour truly begins long before you arrive in Egypt. From the outset, Go Luxor assisted with thoughtfully curating the sites, selecting excellent hotels, arranging a Nile River cruise, and coordinating all domestic travel. Once on the ground, everything ran flawlessly. We were efficiently escorted through airports, moved to the front of museum lines, and guided throughout our journey by knowledgeable guides who spoke impeccable English and brought the history of the pharaohs and their kingdoms vividly to life. Highlights included riding camels at the Giza pyramids, floating in a hot air balloon over the Valley of the Kings, and cruising the Nile in absolute luxury.   Mike was phenomenal- the whole tour was so well organised and the communication was great. All of the guides were so knowledgeable, warm, and hospitable. Mike was able to cater to our budget really well and was always ready to help with advice and recommendations. We had the best time and would 100% recommend.

  Go Luxor Tours helped us plan our three-week private tour of Egypt. We are so grateful to Mike Samir for his wonderful itinerary suggestions. We asked Go Luxor to provide ground transportation, book a four-night Nile cruise, book domestic flights within Egypt, and provide private temple and museum tours with extremely knowledgeable Egyptologists.   I cannot recommend Go Luxor tours enough. We used them for all sites throughout Egypt, including Aswan and Luxor. 5 star experience at a reasonable price! The guides are incredibly knowledgeable (the private tours are a must) which allows you to easily customize everything. The vehicles are roomy and comfortable, the communication is excellent, they’re always on time and most importantly, they make sure you’re happy and have a great time.   Our tour of Egypt was absolutely incredible, and visiting the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx was the highlight of the trip. Seeing these ancient wonders up close is truly breathtaking — no photo can capture how massive and majestic they are in person. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, sharing fascinating history and stories that made the entire experience come alive. We learned about the incredible engineering behind the pyramids, the mysteries surrounding the Sphinx, and even got some great tips for the best photo spots. The tour was well organized from start to finish — comfortable transportation, plenty of water and shade breaks, and just the right amount of time at each site. Standing in front of the Great Pyramid felt surreal — it’s one of those “bucket list” moments that makes you appreciate how remarkable human history really is. If you’re visiting Egypt, this tour is a must.   I was in Egypt for 7 days with my family. Go Luxor tour company was essential to us having a great experience. They coordinated everything for us and made visiting Egypt very easy. We had a great time and I’ve already recommended them to multiple friends looking to travel to Egypt. They even coordinated a surprise birthday celebration for my husband. The tour guides were very knowledgeable, polite, and answered all our questions. We spent three days in Cairo and three days in Luxor.
