It was a great boat ride. Just the right length. So much information from the host. Since it was bilingual, he went from French to English seamlessly. However, one had to keep ‘tuned in’ to when he switched into English! When boarding, the boat tour people still needed to have you get your actual ticket so we were mixed into a line with those purchasing tickets at the dock. No modern technical methods used to scan a pass on your phone.

The excursion was very well organized. Boarding the Louis Joliet was very orderly. All staff aboard were very courteous, helpful and professional! The Louis Joliet was beautiful and had a pleasing layout. Food and beverage offerings were everything you could ask for! The sights were stunning, and the narration was clear, informative and entertaining!

An afternoon sail on the St Lawrence River was very good. The ship was set up for a comfortable experience with plenty of seating, and the bow railings had tarps installed to cut the wind. Scenery was very good especially the falls and the QC skyline!

Terrible experience. We boarded the ship with excitement. We were lucky to find seats in a shady spot on the side of the boat. It took about 25 minutes after we boarded to leave port. As soon as we were gone a group of at least 100 high school kids came out of some hiding spot and bombarded most of the areas on the boat. As typical teens they were loud and obnoxious and because of it we could not hear any of the tour guides speaking. The front of the boat seemed to be off limits to the students however it was 100% in the midday sun. So we either had to sit with the teens or sit in the sun. We did not have sunscreen or hats as we planned to be in the shady spot we selected at the start. The only other area somewhat free from the teens was inside at the rear of the boat. We tried sitting in there for a bit but there was an overwhelming vibration and noise from the ships engines that it was not a suitable alternative. Overall a complete waste of our time and money which is unfortunate because we typically love these experiences.
