  If you’re looking for a reliable and fun company to snorkle or scuba dive with look no further! Quicksilver staff was extremely efficient and dependable on making sure the customers had an enjoyable experience. The journey out to the beautiful Great Barrier Reef was comfortable with snacks and drinks on board. Gordon, our dive master, was extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy and enjoyable for all of our dives. He made it fun and memorable for our first time diving in Australia! It was very impressive to watch the staff members including deck mates, lifeguards and all other Quicksilver crew members to work efficiently and safely in the challenging conditions we were dealt with on our day trip. We had a great time and will definitely be coming back for another excursion with Quicksilver! Thank you!

• Brilliant for those with impaired mobility

  We booked with Quicksilver as our son has mobility issues and we wanted him to experience a day out on the reef. The vessel to get us to the reef was extremely well equipped to cater for his needs and there are multiple tables/sitting areas reserved for those with wheelchairs. When it came to the pontoon, it was also very accessible and our son was able to navigate it easily. We booked a helicopter ride and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful getting our son on and off the smaller boat that took us to the launchpad and also on and off the helicopter. The view was amazing on the ride - well worth the $. When it came to snorkelling, the water entry area is also very accessible and there is also a lift chair to use to get in and out of the water. We had an amazing day! While we would have liked longer on the pontoon, we can’t fault anything. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and we are so glad we made the decision to go with Quicksilver.

  Good value in terms of coral reef viewing and catering. Expert ‘education’ talks were very good and safety aspects were expertly enforced for all levels of water activities. Friendly and well trained staff throughout.

  Great experience overall. This was our second time trip to Agincput reef with Quicksilver. Didn't had hany problems with over crowding etc. We went on 3rd week of Dec, in 2025. The Quick Silver team provided a great support for a disabled person in our team by providing a wheelchair from office to take it on Catamaran on to the reef. They helped him to embark and disembark the ship and also to move around in Agincourt reef to do the excursions. They also encouraged him to snorkel and helped him to lowering him in water on a motorized chair. So had a very good encouraging experience with great team support.

  The crew was very friendly and very accommodating. Louise was really it understanding and helped reschedule one of the members in the group due to last minute sickness. The plantoon was a lot of fun well organized and clean. Helmet dive was fabulous. So was the scuba and snorkeling.

  You can really tell Quicksilver is a well-established name in the Port Douglas diving and snorkelling scene. Everything was incredibly well organised, from the uniforms right through to the catering. Add to that a professional fleet of mini and stagecoach buses and four sleek, impressive vessels, and it all runs like clockwork! This was my first time diving the Great Barrier Reef, and the experience was made even more memorable by the friendly, accommodating crew. Huge thanks to Cpt. “Sharks” for the no-nonsense headcounts, Queenie for the great chats, Leah for the constant positivity, and “Gordo” for making it feel like I was diving with a longtime mate rather than just a dive master. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2026!

  Booked 3 dives to the Great Barrier Reef as a solo female traveller, had the best day ever!! Went on a silver sonic cruise with Gordon as my dive master who was great, felt so safe and had a great 3 dives - they sorted all equipment efficiently and catered food/drinks, super friendly helpful staff. 10/10!! Would recommend if you want to dive or snorkel the reef!!

  I took this trip because it was recommended by friends and it was...fine. It feels very big and impersonal, a couple of hundred people on each trip I think. It takes an hour and a half to get out to the reef, during which they try to sell you various paid extras like guided snorkels, helicopter trips, camera rental etc. Once you're out there you're snorkelling in a marked off area from the pontoon and there were a lot of non-swimmers on the trip flailing around in the water with no awareness of where their fins were going, which probably explains why the coral here was less than stunning. They sell the outer reef trip as being the best option but I visited the inner reef at a less heavily exploited site a few days later and it was way better. Lunch provided was good, boat departed on time, everything worked fine, if you're not going any further north this is probably a fine option.
