Quicksilver Cruises
Departing from Port Douglas, your 90-minute high speed catamaran takes you directly to Agincourt Reef. The permanent pontoon moored here provides a sheltered base. During the trip a snorkeling demonstration will get you ready for your adventure, and the staff will take you through your options for the day.
Agincourt Reef
You'll have around 3.5 hours to enjoy the reef at your leisure. Grab a snorkel and fins and hit the water on your own, or join an optional guided snorkeling tour with a qualified marine biologist. Snorkeling is a great way to explore the Great Barrier Reef, and there are friendly staff on hand to show you how. Prefer to stay dry? You can explore the stunning reef from the comfort of a semi-submersible submarine. You'll take a leisurely cruise through colorful coral gardens, giving you a snorkeler's view of the marine life without getting wet. For a little more adventure, why not try an introductory scuba dive. or a unique Ocean Walker Helmet Dive - no diving experience necessary. We recommend you book this reef trip on your first full available day. You then have the opportunity to be flexible and change your travel date if you wish. Your booking can be changed at no additional cost directly with the operator once you are in Cairns.

5.00This was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. From the outset to final disembarkation, it was totally immersive adventure. Very professionally delivered with the environment at its core. Excellent lectures from a Marine Biologist & Snorkelling Instructor. Comprehensive set of equipment to allow you to swim the reef safely. The onboard service team & food was superb, Dena & her colleagues ensured that you had all you needed to enjoy the day. Thank for a wonderful experience.

5.00A very well thought out trip. Do not be afraid as there is something for everyone from 5 - 100! The team know exactly what they are doing and have safety as their priority. So many choices on board for extra activities (including helicopter flights) so take Apple Pay or a debit card and your 'phone. They even hire out GoPros too! Huge catamaran like a ferry and the platform that you dock at is equally huge with several floors. It's a well oiled operation with every facility that you will need. They have every angle covered and all you need is your swimming costume and a towel plus a way to pay for extras as I previously mentioned. I witnessed young children snorkel who were initially afraid (lifejackets, pool noodles, snorkel masks, fins, wetsuits and special jellyfish proof lycra suits all sanitised available for free) take to the water as well as elderly people who only wanted to go on the glass bottomed boat trip. They have sensational food that you can help yourself as much as you like to and will even save until after your activities are finished. No sharks that we saw or saltwater crocodiles as the latter tend to stick to the shoreline. Lots of photo opportunities as they also have scuba diving photographer! Plentiful time to see all the amazing fish and coral reef. Highly recommend this tour and can't wait to return. Thank you Quicksilver for making this so memorable!

5.00Great experience with this tour - boat was gorgeous, lots of available seating inside and out on the deck. We took the helicopter ride which was worth the expense- stunning views of the reef. Lunch was great and there was a good supply of cookies and snacks during the trip. The crew was friendly and helpful. Want to mention though that the boat was only half full on the day we went so I cannot comment on how things might be if it was full capacity.

5.00It was amazing! My husband and I are not swimmers but wanted to try snorkeling. The lifeguard spent a lot of time getting us comfortable with the equipment and teaching us how to snorkel. After that we spent over an hour snorkeling and a lifeguard was always keeping an eye on us. This is a very well run operation. Started on time and all the other activities ran smoothly. Lunch was fine, tea was decent too. Marine biologist’s presentation was very interesting. Highly recommend!

5.00The boat is large and comfortable from Port Douglas to Agincourt Reef. I didn’t realize that the Great Barrier Reef is a series of reefs stretching along Australia’s coast – and Agincourt Reef is spectacular. The platform at the reef accommodates snorkeling for experienced to “never done this before” guests. The submersible boat allows a dry version of seeing the reef, fish, and turtles. For a fee there’s a helicopter tour of the reef that allows you to appreciate the scale of reef. Food & drink are available on the platform

5.00I can’t recommend this enough. Worth every Penny, all of the crew are so friendly and helpful, they really want you to make the most of your trip. There are activities suitable for beginners/non swimmers who are still made to feel safe enough to snorkel should they wish to (but have an underwater viewing area and submersible boat trip if they don’t’!) right up to experienced divers. The lunch was good too with lots of veggie options amongst others.

5.00Travelled with family from overseas that were not swimmers. Between the semisubmersible and the ocean helmet walk, there are a few things to do. The cruise ticket includes Lycra suit, flippers, snorkel and mask hire, as well as the semisubmersible. The add-ons that are worth paying include scuba and helicopter ride.
