Departing from Port Douglas, your 90-minute high speed catamaran takes you directly to Agincourt Reef. The permanent pontoon moored here provides a sheltered base. During the trip a snorkeling demonstration will get you ready for your adventure, and the staff will take you through your options for the day.
Agincourt Reef
You'll have around 3.5 hours to enjoy the reef at your leisure. Grab a snorkel and fins and hit the water on your own, or join an optional guided snorkeling tour with a qualified marine biologist. Snorkeling is a great way to explore the Great Barrier Reef, and there are friendly staff on hand to show you how. Prefer to stay dry? You can explore the stunning reef from the comfort of a semi-submersible submarine. You'll take a leisurely cruise through colorful coral gardens, giving you a snorkeler's view of the marine life without getting wet. For a little more adventure, why not try an introductory scuba dive. or a unique Ocean Walker Helmet Dive - no diving experience necessary. We recommend you book this reef trip on your first full available day. You then have the opportunity to be flexible and change your travel date if you wish. Your booking can be changed at no additional cost directly with the operator once you are in Cairns.

5.00The staff was excellent and the boat was very clean. Winds and the sea were calm on the day we went out so it was a nice trip to the reef. We’ve snorkeled at other places on the reef and were hoping for more sea life variety but it could been the day we went.

2.00No . This experience was not fun . So many people and so little space . If ever I’ve felt like a cow being rounded up this would be it . My daughter and I did this experience and were both amazingly underwhelmed and disappointed. From being counted by a clicker to lining up to get equipment - the entire experience was impersonal and way too crowded. We got into the practice area for snorkeling and were kicked by others and we also kicked others by accident! There was not enough space . Even outside the practice area it was overpopulated. The change room stunk like wee and I nearly vomited! - disgusting! The lunch was a very average cold meat salad scenario . The boat itself was hot in the way back and we left with sweat soaked clothing . For over $800 I would suggest looking elsewhere for a personal and quality experience . Also, my daughter is a little overweight and she was told to go to the end section for her wetsuit thing . I heard a muffled ‘teletubby’ behind the counter. I would strongly recommend avoiding this experience . Dreadful experience .

3.00Try not to go on a day a cruise ship is in Port as very busy as spoils the trip. Snorkeling was too busy and a little chaotic for weaker swimmers

5.00Absolutely a perfect day! The weather was great as well as the staff, food and snorkeling. We enjoyed the semi-sub too. Great for those that didn’t want to get wet. Very organized. Would highly recommend this excursion.

2.00Profits over people. This cash cow has left the human decency out of the dive industry. Service, sub par, and the food caters to anything but the American. Chris the operations manager is a complete jerk. Chris stated he “ is not the cruise ship” while correspondence between the company and the dive shop supported a 149 dive upgrade to go diving. This dive shop packs Pack tons of people 300+ on a pontoon, no tables, with waits for snorkeling.the service counter woman made sure I knew that we were in Australia by accidentally pulling out 4 American dollars for a candy bar. However, The dive would be incredible if the service could match up to its environment. I’d check other dive operation platforms if you want to find a dive with interests in other avenues other than your wallet.

1.00We unfortunately had the trip cancelled twice in two days… sadly on the second attempt we received an email at 615 in the morning, to say the trip is on and when we arrived at the check in to be told it was cancelled…

5.00If you’re looking for a reliable and fun company to snorkle or scuba dive with look no further! Quicksilver staff was extremely efficient and dependable on making sure the customers had an enjoyable experience. The journey out to the beautiful Great Barrier Reef was comfortable with snacks and drinks on board. Gordon, our dive master, was extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy and enjoyable for all of our dives. He made it fun and memorable for our first time diving in Australia! It was very impressive to watch the staff members including deck mates, lifeguards and all other Quicksilver crew members to work efficiently and safely in the challenging conditions we were dealt with on our day trip. We had a great time and will definitely be coming back for another excursion with Quicksilver! Thank you!
