With an early start from the Tamarindo area, we'll head to the rainforest area of Tenorio and Miravalles Volcanoes. Along the way we'll stop at a waterfalls before continuing on to the rainforest. We'll enjoy a short walk on a tropical farm that's a haven for birds and animals including a butterfly garden, toucans, frogs, insects, lizards, snakes and SLOTHS!
After the tour we'll have a lovely lunch and then head back.

5.00Eugene was our driver/guide. You couldn’t ask for better. He really knows where things are and is very knowledgeable about the plants and animals. So personable. Saw sloths, a Toucan, butterflies, snakes, frogs and spiders. Rain forest was really wet ( he had ponchos for us) and we are soaked but still had a great day. Lunch was delicious.

5.00I just returned from an incredible trip to Costa Rica. Xplore Costa Rica was a huge reason why the trip was as incredible as it was. Their drivers, Eugene & Ernesto, picked me up and dropped me off from the airport. Both of them were happy to speak to me in English and Spanish (when I told them I wanted to practice) and were patient enough to translate words when I got stuck. Their rates were very reasonable and some of the best in the country (my friends who were traveling in Costa Rica at the same time told me they paid $70 more than I did for airport transfers). Xplore Costa Rica took me on an incredible Rainforest excursion where I was able to experience several of the countries natural wonders: a waterfall, several sloths (including the baby pictured) and a beautiful yellow viper snake. It was concluded with a delicious local lunch. I can't say enough great things about them: friendly & professional staff, courteous, on time, clean vehicles, accommodating, and eager to go the extra mile to make my trip all the more memorable. Next time I go back, I'll be using Xplore Costa Rica for all my tours and transfers. Pura Vida

5.00Eugene was a terrific tour guide for the day. We stopped at a waterfall, had a delicious authentic Costa Rican meal that was tailored to our dietary restrictions, hiked through a nature reserve where we saw sloths, snakes, toucans, and much more. Highly recommend!
Seeing the sloths was my favorite!! The lunch was typical Costa Rican food and was scrumptious 😁

5.00Eugenio Mora was our driver and tour guide. When Eugenio knew what we wanted to photograph, he worked hard to find the wildlife we wanted to see. He is very professional and accommodating.

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed the eco-tour. Our guide, Brandon, was very knowledgable and passionate about the plants and animals. Finca Verde is located in an area where the rainforest has been cleared for agriculture, but this farm has been restored to an impressive degree, attracting sloths, monkeys, porcupines, bats, birds and butterflies. Brandon was expert at locating the well-camouflaged animals in the trees, and knew just where the tiny poison dart frog likes to hide. We finished our tour with a delicious Costa Rican lunch. We added the waterfall experience to our trip, and were glad we did. Our Xplore CR driver Eliel was delightful, and we learned a lot about Costa Rica from him. We felt very safe on the roads with Eliel, and he took us to a spot where we enjoyed a great Tico breakfast and coffee. All highly recommended!

5.00We had a great time on our tour of the Rainforest. We learned so much about Costa Rica from our tour guide. Definitely a must if traveling to Costa Rica.

5.00This tour was the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. Eliel was our guide for the day and he was amazing. We learned so much about the culture and he made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. The first stop was at Finca Verde Lodge, located in the rainforest. We saw so many animals from sloths to butterflies to tree frogs and much more! We ate lunch at Finca Verde and it was so scrumptious. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about all the wildlife and plants. Next, we stopped at a beautiful waterfall where we took a nice swim amidst the gorgeous plant life. Eliel was a great host and we had a wonderful time with memories that will last us forever. I highly recommend booking a tour with Xplore Costa Rica if you want to create the perfect experience.
