In the midst of the majestic Rocky Mountains, the Country Boy Mine was one of the largest and most famous gold mines in Breckenridge, Colorado. Today, we invite you to visit the Country Boy Mine and enjoy the many activities the mine has to offer. Join us for a mine tour into a real gold mine at this historic restored mining site. While at the mine you can also gold pan, pet the burros, slide down the 55 foot ore chute, explore the authentic mine site, view the exhibits and equipment that were used in the mine and visit the general store. The Country Boy Mine has been offering mine tours for over 20 years. The Country Boy Mine is located 2 miles from downtown Breckenridge in Summit County, Colorado.

Really fun experience! It’s not every day you get to visit a real gold mine and learn about mining. Adults and kids both loved it! Highly recommended!
Definitely worth the cost of admission (but don’t forget to tip your guide).

We had a great time visiting the mine & grounds. We learned a lot and had fun at the same time. I’m 60 years old, but felt like a boy again exploring the mine.

The mine is damp and 44°. Definitely being a jacket. If you don't have one, they do have some extras. Michael was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable and fun. It was a great birthday excursion!

This was a really fun and interesting tour! I believe that our tour guide was named Micheal. He was a chill Dude and shared some interesting facts! Ask him where the phrase, “pulling your chain” comes from. My family got a kick out of that fun fact

Michael did an excellent job explaining what the miners went through. Very interesting going 1000 feet into the mountain. We really enjoyed the tour.

Fantastic experience! Our guide Michael was engaging, entertaining, and very knowledgeable about every aspect of the gold mine. Panning for gold after the tour checks a bucket list item for me. Less than 5 minute drive from Main Street breckenridge, well worth the cost. Highly recommended!

The tour was great, and the guide really knew her information. If you wanna learn a little bit about how mining was done back in the 1800s the early 1900s this is a good trip..

A GOLD NUGGET for sure. We had a GREAT time on the tour. Very informative and a lot of interesting history about Colorado and the gold mining industry. We had fun panning for gold and looking around the site at the old buildings. Well worth your time and money....and maybe you will even find some gold!

Had a great time, they have friendly staff who is passionate about gold. They also have a cute gift shop. There's a lot of activities there, I would like to go again to try their outdoor escape room and more gold panning! We found a little gold dust in the 45 min we panned. Was a blast!

A history lesson. Our guide's commentary was informative and very interesting. We have a new appreciation for the miners who worked in very challenging conditions. Tour probably not the. best for people with balance issues as you walk underground in dimly lit passage.
