This two-day tour exceeded our expectations! Our guide, Brandon, was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly accommodating. We expressed interest in visiting Fern Canyon, which is located a bit further north than the usual itinerary, and on the second day, Brandon made it happen, along with a visit to Wedding Rock. These experiences were the highlights of our trip. We would certainly choose this company again for future tours if we return to the area. Spending time with Brandon was delightful, and honestly, opting for a private tour was the best decision. Golden Horizon Travel responded quickly to all my questions. They were willing to work with us to ensure we had a personalized and memorable experience.

Entering the land of the giants was truly magical. Seeing the Redwoods has been on my wish list since I was a little girl. We considered just going to Muir Woods, which is a lot closer to San Francisco, but my research told me I wouldn't be satisfied. Those are younger, MUCH smaller Redwoods. Recognizing the distance from San Fran and wanting to see as much as we could in 2 days, this tour was perfect. Our guide, Mary, promptly picked us up. We made some stops along the way to see other interesting places. Entering the Avenue of Giants was AMAZING. She walked us (Mom 60ish, 3 adults 25-35 yrs old) through the trails, took family photos for us so we didn't need to do selfies or ask other visitors to take our photo. Our first day ended with a stay at the Eureka Inn, a charming inn that was once visited by former Presidents and celebrities. We had a fabulous dinner at a local pub that served one of the best filet mignons I've ever eaten. On our 2nd day, we headed more north to see even bigger Redwoods before heading back to San Fran. Our jaws kept dropping when we entered the forests. Both days were long, 12 hours each, but we loved every second. Being a native, Mary was very knowledgeable of the area and shared info and stories with us as we went along. She made recommendations and gave us choices on what we wanted to see or do within the time we had. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you want to see the real Red Woods, I can't recommend this tour enough. It's worth every penny & second.
